Is the US Canada border closed? Curious about the Fisher assignment (although I haven't been paying attention to his other assignments...maybe he came earlier for the tournament and just stayed stateside?)

In this age of trying to limit travel where possible, this assignment caught my attention. Not too many longer trips for a referee from Sarasota, FL to take in MLS than to Portland.

It (sorta) is. And he was doing Canadian MLS games. He must've travelled over to the US and be staying there for a while, since each time he returns he would have to quarantine for 14 days (negative tests or not).

Mendez of Orlando sent off for a 2CT in minute 68. A straight red from Touchan for SFP would not have been an unreasonable decision with a locked leg getting the FCD player on the ankle and awkwardly trapping his plant leg.

Anyone have a clue or a better look at whatever RSL fans are so mad about on Twitter? They're claiming someone got their hands up on Rusnak late, but I couldn't find it on the Minnesota broadcast, and I never got a replay of the possible handball offense just before half time. I don't think it was a foul from the live shot as the arm *looked* like it was down at the player's side, but there could have been motion to the ball that I couldn't see from the wide angle.

    No, 2nd game.

This is, however, the debut for Fourth Official Brandon Stevis in Portland (Portcouver?).

    Vanland seems more appropriate....

The end of DAL-ORL was interesting to say the least.

Had a second yellow for SPA upgraded to a straight red for DOGSO for Montreal. Proper procedure as we know, but the Impact were very perplexed.

Lots of mad RSL fans on Twitter, but I don't think their complaints are as justified as they think.
