Apparently nobody watched this game. I did. We should have won. But, DC got a weak penalty.

We lose Bedoya for the NE match.

Given that Toronto tied tonight, a win would have been nice.

1st half looked liked all the Union players were lugging around an extra 20 lbs. Sluggish and uninspired. I blame this one on Curtin for not having them ready and taking out Fontana rather than Bedoya.

Yes, why did Curtin take out Fontana and leave Bedoya in? Seems like another example of it taking Curtin way too long to adjust his habitual lineup when a new quality player becomes available. Plus, he must really not want to ever play Oravec. If Oravec doesn’t play when both Martinez and Creavalle are out, he may never play.

On the plus side, McKenzie’s goal was a blast!

I don't know how much of that was a deliberate strategy on our part to conserve a bit of energy but with the compressed schedule but I had a feeling DC would be out of gas in the second half which they were. Of course they scored both their goals in the second cause soccer gonna soccer. Anyway whats the deal with the handballs this year? I am vaguely aware there is some controversy. My whole life an arm against a body was never a hand ball unless it was used to control the ball somehow. Going by the call last night would a blast right at defender in a wall that happens to touch an arm be called a handball now?

And just like that, a playoff place is confirmed for this curtailed season.

Considering only Toronto have a better PPG right now, chances for a CCL place are good, no?
