2020 Home Kit

Looks clean. I'm liking the sash look these days.

 

Is the sash grey or does it just look that way due to the small image and poor screen quality?

I play FIFA Mobile occasionally myself and tried to get a look at this but it's nigh on impossible to get access to a team's kits (it's all Ultimate Team-based and you have to "win" kits - not even sure what you need to do to get them).

I've already taken the position that the sash should become a permanent part of our identity.

 

I like the sash, but I'm not a fan of it being grey. It's been blue, how about yellow/gold or even a throwback green? Something in our color palette.

 

And you know, if this is real, that Addidas will have half a dozen other MLS clubs in grey

 

I've heard it's supposed to be "silver", which is on-brand, I guess. Hard to judge from a small image.

 

Does this mean we are still stuck with the away jersey that looks like a photo shop error?

 

I would go for that. I'm also hoping for some teal/green trim they were (and still seem to be) splashing across the website.

Welp, it's out. Thoughts? Kneejerks? Needs more blue and gold.

 

Someone said it’s so silver because of our 25th anniversary as a club. I like that.

I liked the way it looks on chicha in that interview. The silver looks pretty subtle. Maybe that’s the lighting in the interview though.

 

First impressions: not the best, but nice enough. Agree with you that it lacks color. But on the other hand, the white and silver are a classy combo, I think. The sash design looks a bit weird but maybe it will grow on me. I think someone said it looked like a tire tread mark?

 

It looks like he's making some short-term ad hoc home repairs and has placed three strips of duct tape on his shoulder for easy retrieval.

 

I think they left the "fashion" duct tape in place to distract from the large faded gray stain on the front - we really shouldn't be washing our home whites with an old mildew covered towel. Hopefully it will come out with some soaking and another wash cycle (with bleach this time, guys!).

In 2014 it was a cockatiel sneaking into the washing machine that resulted in our 3rd kit that season. It depresses me to think that we learned nothing from Marcelo Skwark-vas' untimely demise.

Yup. I also like how Seattle's looks like a watermelon.

 

To be fair, that's pretty much our team.

 

It's kind of sad how much adidas is just phoning it in now.

 

Have you seen Seattle and San Jose's offerings? It's like they set out to create a reason for people to not get Lasik.

Those are bad. Really bad. San Jose's wouldn't be horrible if the yellow quarter moon was gone. With it, it looks like a bad retro Galaxy shirt. Most look like they had no effort put into them. Miami should have gone all pink. I think DC and Philly look the best.
