I have no idea where York 9 is being managed from ... with a 2-pm home opener on a weekday. Now that they've found out that Monday isn't a holiday, they've moved it to 7 pm! LOL! I wonder if they've figured out they are playing in Toronto rather than York ... few in Toronto have found out yet ...

February 17, 2020 York 9 FC Fan Forum and Kit Reveal night. All the audio from the presentation and Q&A. MC Luke Wileman with Angus McNab, Jimmy Brennan and Paul Stalteri. Lots of pictures too! http://www.rocketrobinsoccerintoronto.com/reports20/20york020.htm Finally an answer to why York has no home games after Labour Day.
^ Hopefully cutting ticket prices by 35% will help York in the attendance department. It's good to see them being responsive to their market. Mods: Should the title of this thread be changed since there is no longer a spring/fall split?
Will definately help but York biggest problem was lack of advertisement in North York and the schedule. Friday night games will definitely help attendances @Yoshou

With a month to go before the season kicks off, it seems at least 50:50 that it's going to get delayed because of the coronavirus doesn't it? MLS just postponed Seattle's match on the 21st, the NBA just suspended their season, and that's not even mentioning leagues around the world who have suspended or delayed the start of their seasons.
York could still play. Coronavirus only causes events to be cancelled when they're expected to draw large crowds.
Since it's not as serious in Canada yet, there's a chance that in most location they will play as usual. MLS just shutdown their season. Since CPL clubs aren't travelling to the US, CPL might keep playing if Canada continues to do a good job at containing the virus.
I guess York might get the attendances after all if this goes on throughout April. Lots of people in Toronto will need their foot fix
How is the testing going up in Canada? I'm assuming it isn't a sh*tshow like it is down here. But I don't think you wait. Even if Canada is able to contain it, I'm not sure they can risk have it break out because people are attending events with crowds.
Testing centres will be opening soon, so far the numbers are very low and limited to 4 provinces Ontario 42 BC 46 Quebec 8 Alberta 19 Travellers flying in from risky places are being transferred to Trenton base. With teams not flying into the US, CPL could keep going in theory. Worse that could happen is York9 playing in an empty stadium. Quebec has no team, Alberta's count is low and Pacific are on Vancouver Island where no cases was reported. I remember that during the SARS outbreak, the Jays played in front of a sellout crowd. Unless there's an explosion of cases, I think CPL will go on
Listening to both CBC and NPR radio, it seems to be going better here than in the US. So far there has been almost zero (I think literally one case) of community transmission here. Everything has been linked with travel from more infected areas and so has been quickly identified and quarantined. The testing centres Robert Borden mentioned as opening soon are dedicated centres - testing is already widespread in regular medical facilities. I'm not sure things will stay good unless we proactively cancel events, etc. Especially if it does get out of control in the US because there's just so much cross border traffic. But maybe a combination of effort and luck will break our way and we'll stamp it out. If other leagues follow MLS but our season does proceed, the CPL may be the best (active) league in North America!
Statement from the league They are monitoring the situation and are reminding that season starts only on April 11. A statement from the Canadian Premier League:#CanPL https://t.co/BdKMpakJdI— Canadian Premier League (@CPLsoccer) March 12, 2020
