LAFC made it because they won the Shield, Seattle made it because they won the MLS Cup, Atlanta made it because they won the US Open Cup, Montreal won the Canada Cup, and NYCFC made it because they came in 2nd for the Shield. Honestly NYCFC should've gone to Pot 2, and Leon should've gone to Pot 1

the 6 team tournament shouldn’t get an entire ticket to the ccl. If anything it should get half a ticket to the CONCACAF league, with the winner going head to head against the canPL champion. The us open cup too. If they get a full ticket then every domestic national champion should get one as well including copa mx. I agree with @AMLO2018
The individual federation determines how to allocate its slots. Canadian teams have performed second best in recent years and absolutely deserve a full slot.
