    Pachuca have uncannily good luck with CWC draws.

    - In 2006, had they beaten Étoile du Sahel, they would've played Boca in the semifinal.

    - In 2008 IIRC, they played LDQ Quito in the semifinal.

    - In 2010, had they beaten All-Powerful Mazembe, they would've played the Brazilian Inter in the semifinal.

    - The last time they went, they played Grêmio in the semifinal.

    Beyond that, Monterrey missed out on facing Neymar's Santos in 2011, and that's about it.

    Born and raised in FL, know no other way.

    But my shoes don't actually glow - no idea how that happened in the pic :ROFLMAO:

    Hubiera esperado que la Concacaf siga el precedente de la UEFA: que las llaves pendientes se resuelvan en las sedes que tocaban originalmente (Atlanta, Monterrey y Tegucigalpa), y luego las semifinales y Final en una sede neutral (p.e. Costa Rica).

    :eek::eek::eek:

    buena sugerencia pero no fue así. Concacaf decidió diferente. All mls teams had major advantage playing in the USA where as you have implied, was not neutral territory for non-MLS teams. I am not saying that LAFC did not have their moments. I am saying that they had EVERYTHING in their favor (home turf, refs were a disaster waiting on someone on Tigres team to have their tibula sticking out before issuing a yellow card , full squads etc) and they still couldn’t get it done.

    One could argue that Toronto FC had a better run against Chivas, who was at the bottom of the table, a couple of years ago. Both teams played the standard format where each location benefits the home team and none of this “let’s change the format as we go along (nobody expected COVID). It came down to penalty kicks.
