What does that have to do with anything. Even bad NWLS soccer is better than 90% of what the MLS puts on the field.
If "MLS is back" is some show about the MLS, I never watch shows about sports I enjoy. I have the ability to read and I get all the "about" I need from reading.
The Sky Blue goalkeeper is bad. She punches very catchable balls and gets no distance on the punch thereby giving NC another chance.
The Zerboni foul machine is again in action. Free kick that results in nothing. The referee has some long discussion with someone on the sideline causing a long delay.
Only about 2 minutes of stoppage (considering the delay caused by the referee) Seems short. A water break and a goal should have made it at least 4 I think.
For those wondering, the "someone" was Alyse Lahue, GM for Sky Blue. The center ref told her that she needed to return to the stands as she's not coaching staff or on the roster.
Thanks. A GM is a bureaucrat and bureaucrats are known to not know their place but to be argumentative about it.
I'm sure you know this, but the referee doesn't account for added time because of a goal. That's not one of the allowances for stoppage time unless players are wasting time on the restart (e.g. extended goal celebrations). The talk on the sideline and the water break probably should have added some additional stoppage time though.
Yes, but throughout the "tournament" there has been a minimum of 4 minutes stoppage and the water break was at least three in this case.
I think, if I read earlier posts correctly, Sky Blue needs to give up at least one more goal or they have a good chance of being on the same side of the bracket as NC. But the two goal loss is somewhat hard to figure so they may be OK.
NC platoons in a bunch of fresh legs. I do not agree with allowing so many subs but it seem to be accepted mostly around the world.
