    Minamino paved the way /S

Jokes aside, I'm happy to see him score. It's about time indeed.

This is really good for him and for his confidence and nerves.

Now, he scored in the leaue, league cup, and super cup (community shield).

Hopefully, this is the first of many to come, and hopefully he will score in the Champions League as well.

Congratulations. His link-up play and positioning was pretty good. He was also decent against Fulham last week playing in central midfield. His versatility is helping him earn playing time.

A good performance overall. Most important was the well taken goal with a clever dummy before a strong finish into the corner. His usual energetic pressing and movement and yes good link-up play. But he missed a golden chance for a second goal after beating his marker with excellent first touch.

Klopp is pretty brilliant when it comes to man management and motivating players, one of the best in the business for sure. Nothing but praise for Minamino so far as he tries to boost the morale of a struggling fringe player. It’s smart of him.

Clearly the last attacker on the depth chart, behind Shaqiri and Origi. Liverpool sources speculate that he is not impressing Klopp in training or is not fitting the tactical role the manager has in mind. Being behind even Origi should be concerning for him. It’s looking more and more like he is not rated highly enough by Klopp and should look to move this summer lest he waste the prime years of his career.

Yeah. Being last in the pecking order raises concerns for sure. The sooner he moves the better.
German league fits him the best IMO.

I don't think it's about "being rated by Klopp". He simply had his chances and didn't do much most of the time... that's football at high level.

Of course on this level ist not about "impress when you play". To be honest, he really impress when he play. Sure, he has bis Bad games under Klopp, but overall he was good. At least way more impressing then players like Origi.

Look at Minaminos stats, he has 6 Scorer in 17 games which is very very good. And he only play 763 minutes. Thats ********ing awesome, even more when you think that he hits the crossbar against Arsenal in the Cup and scores the winner in the Champions League which was scaryily moved away by VAR.

Klopp outsingled Minamino soooo often in the last time in good. And when Minamino scored in the League and gets one game later the important assist he never played really again. Thats weird.

And even Klopp tells the media thats a big mistake to not use Minamino cause he is so on fire.

Minamino use his Chances superb but didnt get a fair chance at all. A fair chance is 7-8 games in a row to show what he can do.

He doesn't seem to be a good fit for Liverpool anyway, since he struggles to make things happen unless given space, and you won't get much of that playing for the defending champions in the Premier League. The lesson learned may be that players should go to teams that can clearly explain where they see you fitting into their tactical system -- but hard to turn down Liverpool. They only bought him because they got him "on sale" with that cheap (for them) buy-out clause. No way they would have paid full price for a player whose role in the team is so uncertain.

What do you mean 6 scorers in 17 games? Well I think he got enough chances to impress. But also that he should get more chances, he got like 2 starts in PL.
I think you exaggerate here, you think Minaminos been amazing. He has not.

No offence but don’t think you’ve actually seen to many Liverpool games. He isn’t playing for West Brom this is Liverpool one of if not the top club in Europe at the moment. It’s fair to say if you don’t take your chances at that level you’ll be cut. I like Minamino as a player but Liverpool was always gonna be a huge step up. I think he can still prove to be a good role player but personally would like to see him playing regularly. You speak of these stats and half if not most of those goals have come from tier 3-4 comp in cup games. Other then that one goal against palace he scored. I hope he still gets the opportunity to prove himself and if or when he does he’ll have to take that opportunity there and then

They are talking about a loan to Southampton now, in the last minutes of the window.

    4 goals overall = 6? :speechless:

anyways, Minamino is off to Southampton it seems on loan. should help him if he wants to stick around in PL.. of course, all depends on producing for Southampton too.

as for why he dropped in the pecking order? well, he had his chance but also, didn't find a niche role for himself. not a false 9 like Firmino to be his backup, lost out to Jota and etc out in the wing but also, Curtis Jones out performed him when Thiago was absent in his role in midfield.

he consistently looked lost whenever he played too. often .. just.. falling to the ground or losing the ball easily.
