Surprise: player paid £7.25 million pounds isn't a regular starter in arguably the strongest team on earth at the moment.

    That's it.
With +22 points above City, Klopp should give Minamino some chances to get some continuity.
If not, why buy him from the very beginning?
Meanwhile Liverpool can be kicked out of UCL by Atletico and this will means even less chance for Minamino to play a game.

boneheaded defense and goalkeeping ruined it. Minamino did have a chance where it looked like he could have hit it first time but wanted to take a touch instead..

Same situation Nagatomo had faced during his first few months at Inter.

It seems they bought him to be a backup for Firminho. Sadly, he hasn't proven to be able to take that role so far. Will he be played in his natural position in the remaining league fixtures?

I just hope he doesn't end up like Shinji Kagawa at Manchester United.

Kagawa at United played as a starter in UCL ko stage vs Real Madrid in Madrid and he was the first (and only) japanese player who scored an hat-trick in an official EPL match (Inamoto was in Intertoto) despite Van Persie+Rooney presence and Moyes.

Actually Minamino can only dream about that. And that's sad.

judge his performance starting next season. Fabinho, Keita and etc all went to something similar (as in, they all barely played in the initial 6 month of adaptation period).

He had two dangerous shost, he was active and fought for every ball.

I liked it when he challenged Andre Gomes for the ball and ended up winning it and started a Liverpool attack.

He needs time to adapt to the team and the league. It seems he is not yet familiar with the fast pace and physical challenges of the EPL.

He shown improvement tonight, and the team played better when he0 was playing, and played worse after he was subbed out.

It's great that Klopp is giving him some playing time, and he trusts him to the lextent that he started him in such a game after such a long break.

When he drifted inside he looked like he may be real dangerous. Out wide with Firmino in the centre he had a harder time.

The media aren't giving him much of a chance. Fortunately the fans seem to give him more.

Came in as a sub for Firmino tonight in the last 10 minutes vs Brighton Hove Albion (last 5 minutes of the regulation time+stoppage time), and he wasted a chance to score his first goal after miscontroled the ball inside the penalty box.

While on the pitch, however, he displayed more understanding between him and his teammate, and better adaptation to Liverpool's system. He was droping back sometimes almost to the centre of the field to collect balls and dispossessed some opponents off the ball.

Just say: Minaminio is the 3rd japanese footballer to win the EPL (I think this is a record right?).

Hopefully he will be able to adapt further into Liverpool's style, but I still think Atlético de Madrid suits him best.
