According to A Bola, we have invested around 28.9 million euros this year in both transfer windows. If we spent 12.9 million euros in the summer, now we have spent 16 million euros in this winter window. Surely a gift to Amorim for the good job he has done so far, as I doubt we would have splashed the cash if we weren't in a serious title charge. However breaking down the ins and outs this season, we can see that we've still made a profit this season. Arrivals: Paulinho - 16M (70% of his rights) Pedro Gonçalves - 6.5M (50% of his rights) Nuno Santos - 3.7M (100% of his rights) Feddal - 2.15M (100%) Tabata - 0.5M (10% of his rights, this one is still a bit weird) Antunes, Adan, Joao Pereira, Matheus Reis - free transfer Porro, Joao Mario - loans with options to buy Total spent so far: 28.9M Departures: Wendel - 20.4M (could be 24M with bonus) Acuna - 10.5M (could be 12.5M with bonus) Matheus Pereira - 8.25M Vietto - 7M Borja - 3M Ristovski - 1M Total received: 49.25M Also another interesting thing that wasn't really highlighted is that we managed to find clubs for most of those players that aren't playing. Camacho, Ilori, etc all found clubs (hopefully they play and those clubs can buy them off us). Finally a couple of interesting things about Paulinho's deal. Yes its a lot of money, however there are two things Braga didn't mention in their comunicado: 1) They are paying all the commissions fees (well over 1M) to the agents involved, and 2) We don't start paying until October 2021. Hopefully by then we are well under way in the Champions League group stage and get our big prize money.
I think the biggest thing is that the signings from last summer have all contributed and made the squad better. Aside from Antunes, who hasn’t played much. But Pote, Santos, Feddal, Porro (loan) have all been great. The club really used the market well.
Antunes hasn't played much, but when he has, he's been brilliant. He can still play at a high level. It's great to have quality coming off the bench for once. We need that depth to win the league.
The Sun in England is reporting Arsenal is negotiating for the purchase of Tiago Tomas for around 23M euros. Not sure how reputable The Sun is but what do you think if its true.
If true, I think SCP will take it. Not that they should, but they probably will. Being able to keep the team in tact for another year I think would do wonders not only for the Win column, but for player value. If we start receiving offers for lot of our young talent (which will happen especially if we win title), there's going to be some tough decisions for management to make.
Rumours that Sporting is negotiating Ruben Amorim's contract, with an increased salary and longer term as well as a 30 million euro clause.
Offical: Ruben Amorim signs a new contract, the negotiations were lightning quick and has a contract until 2024 now. The rumour is his salary was doubled and his release clause is now 30M euros.
Sporting are rumoured to be after Ruben Vinagre as a replacement for Nuno Mendes. The Wolves left back, on loan to Famalicão, is 21 and Benfica is also interested.
I didn't want to say anything cause i didnt wanna jynx it but Porto were losing 1-0 until the 86th minute. They tied through a penalty and just scored again to comeback....
Porto draw and we take a 6 point lead with 5 games to go. We can afford a loss and a draw on the way to the title.
For sure i thought again they had comeback but it was offside. Conceição sent off after and had to be held back from getting close to the ref. Im sure he'll get a light fine. If it was Amorim he'd be suspended until 2029
Like I said, Conceicao is the biggest coward bitch in Portugal. Still waiting for his punishment for what happened with Portimonense. Porto are pathetic cunts. Diving all game long and flopping to con the ref. Utterly pathetic. Moreirense actually had the opportunity to go 2-0 up, but missed an open net. Incredible.
Easy to get excited but we have to stay focused. Just look at the next game. Win at home. Which seems to be harder this year than winning away.
Someone from Porto assaulted a reporter and partially damaged his camera - PdC was right there and witnessed it. Probably one of his thugs lol https://www.record.pt/futebol/futeb...do-fc-porto?ref=Ultimas Noticias_BlocoUltimas
