Out Königsblau rivals have done us a favour by unexpectedly beating Eintracht Frankfurt, but Mainz are currently on a roll, meaning they are not to be underestimated. Let's just hope our boys didn't party too hard.

Win this game and our place in the CL is secure.

AUF GEHT'S JUNGS! KÄMPFEN UND SIEGEN!

Even if they do they would still be in with a win next week or a lost or draw from Frankfurt... Who would have predicted that just a week ago!!

welp, a draw almost secures it too. Good ole Frankfurt just rolling along like a turd in a toilet. Thank you for that

We have to dispose of such a mindset and settle for nothing less than a win.

Yes we need to go and get it done today. Win today and then we start thinking about and planning for next season. As of now it's all about the win.

In my other thread I asked for Reus to give everything and play every meaningful minute from now until the end of the season. And Reus delivered. Now we just need him to play one more meaningful match and he can rest.

LP, Can, Raphael and Dahoud might all need to be rested today.

It's looking like a 4-2-3-1.. which has not been as good for us as 4-3-3. I'm not a big fan of a Dahoud-Bellingham midfield.

The problem with that is Bellingham. Who hopefully has a good game today.

I would have liked to see Brandt start and more rotation.

However, let's get things settled today.

2:0 Reus. Relatively comfortable game so far that isn't too demanding after there were only 2 days rest after the cup final.

Yes its a nice comfortable game. Dahoud controlling the midfield. Reus with excellent movement. Sancho looks tired, but has been decisive in moments.

Bellingham has done some nice stuff too.

We are almost playing a lopsided 4-3-3 with Reus slightly more advanced than Bellingham. Dahoud is the deepest midfield and the holding player.

dream start for us. thoroughly dominated play and no real gaffes for us.

Should have and could have been more but away 0-2 I will talke all day. Win this and seal it up.

Also Frankfurt should be eliminated just for losing to schalke.. thats enough to almost make them drop 30 points and join the relegation zone with them.

Brandt with a nice calm finish for 3-0 after unselfish play from Haaland. Job done.

Nice that the team has secured CL with 1 match to spare, which after that Frankfurt loss it seemed unlikely.

Congratulations on the team. They have salvaged the season and it is a fairly good one overall, though we need to aim for even better.

Very happy for Brandt to come on and get his goal.

Now is the time we start planning and thinking about next season.

Top 4, DFB Pokal and CL QF.

Pretty good season in the end, all things considered. Congrats to Terzic and the team for really coming together over the last couple of months and salvaging the season.

OK guys, now we can have a full-blown party.

Amazing what can be accomplished when your team isn't being held back by a perennial underachiever.

I'm so happy to have CL again next year and keep Haaland too. He needs to be convinced to stay here all his career and we need to pay him accordingly. That alone would make us contenders again and show our ambitions. Screw the EPL, Madrid and Barcelona needs this talent stays in Germany!!

    ** I know maybe I'm dreaming a bit here...
