Welp, frustrating thus far but CLEARLY see the promise of goals in this team. Already seeing old patterns emerge though and am feeling like we've got the Arsene Wenger of USL coaches on our hands. VERY GOOD COACH ... unmoving in process when he should be though. Personally I'm not sold on our little Argentine wonder kid. He's got the worst parts of some of our better players over the last few seasons but his finished end isn't at the level to overcome those flaws like Billy's was a couple seasons ago. I'd love to see a go of a few matches with something like one of the following: ---------------Guzman--------------- Barmby----------------------Forbes ----------Laing-----Restrepo------- ----------------Pecka----------------- Ackon-----Didic----Yaro-------Kai ---------------BEARD--------------- +++++++++++++++++++++++ -------------Guzman------------------- -------------------Jamieson------------ Barmby------Restrepo------Forbes ------------------Pecka----------------- Laing-----Didic-----Yaro----Greene ----------------BEARD----------------- Two different dynamics but two completely focused formations that get, IMO, all of our best players on the field where they can do the most damage, be the most effective, and their weaknesses are best covered/hidden. I DO like Parano as a 60+ minute sub against dead legs/tired minds. Lahoud is great coverage in the mid and Rafa of course is set piece, spot kick sub and to spell someone. I am though, pretty much ready to see Eboussi play for either of Yaro/Didic. Cochrane retiring is being felt greatly across the back line. Big Mac having to retire also, and then having Cyp leave was crushing. I feel he and Didic would be fantastic. Also feel like Cesar being gone has left a chemistry hole up top. If NYCFC isn't going to play Seba can the loan him back, please ..... Yes, it's 2 games in ... after last year though, when these observations were being made early on, yeah not making that mistake again. Voicing now.
BLEH ... A fire needs to be lit and quick. Hopefully COPATEJAS kicking off will strike the match. If not, this is going to be a looooooooooong season.
