Mexico losing to the Japanese, who clearly have done their homework in the defensive end, they have a great keeper.another half to go,let’s see if Mexico can tie.
We didn't play well either match. Too soon to say that. We could face Mali or France in 1/8, both really tough.
I am not saying Argentina is unbeatable. Every team especially at this U20 level is susceptible to defeat. I just think they are playing with confidence and are the team to beat.
Poland just need a point to advance. Senegal just need a point to win the group. Poland 0:0 Senegal (after 75 minutes)
That group has to be among the weakest in the tournament. Senegal played Uruguay tough in a tune up before the tournament, but both times I saw them they were mediocre at best.
The tournament looks wide open to me. No team has shown themselves to be the prohibitive favorites and the few teams that look weak have already been eliminated. I see a lot third place teams that look like they could beat a first place team.
Lmao @ Honduras. Is there any team that under performs against other confederations than them? I feel sorry for all the CONCACAF fans out there that have to watch these bums get embarrassed in every world cup they're in.
Norway 12-0 Honduras is the biggest win in the history of the U-20 FIFA World Cup. Latest record Brazil 10-0 Belgium 1997
The game is 12-0... 12 effing 0...and the ref decides to add 5 minutes of injury time. I guess common sense is not a Fifa requirement?
Deep down, you really knew how Hey folks, meet your new u20 Golden Boot: Erling Håland with 9 goals. (eligible to play for England's senior squad, if he chooses to). Concacaf is a joke man. Four u20 WC spots, and 3 are out: that includes Panama too! Worse joke than Oceania with 2 WC spots. This is what awaits us after WC expansion to 48 teams: 2026 with 3 automatic Concacaf spots! A good ol' turkey shoot.
FWIW, Panama is not out yet. If they beat Saudi Arabia by 2 goals they will advance for sure (if they beat them by 1 they will most likely still advance).
Maybe match-fixing? Its a tad suspicious. I mean, they held their own against Uruguay, only to lose by 12 to.... Norway! In a match that meant nothing to Honduras apart from pride (no real chance to advance).
