It's a shame that Chicago scored their 3rd at 89', or I would have had one more point! Anyway, my big hit was catching the draw between Sky Blue and Portland (although I had it scoreless ). I am going to show robots and cyborgs are no match for me.
Predictions for Week 4 games: Utah 1 v Chicago 1 Washington 0 v SeaTac 1 North Carolina 3 v NJNY 0 (tough one for the robot to predict) Houston 2 v Orlando 2
Tough week to predict. US National team players are gone. Sky Blue, Utah, and Seattle will be the least impacted -- so maybe they will do a little better in the next couple of months? UTA 1 - 2 CHI. Chicago still has Kerr, Nagasoto. WAS 1 - 1 RFC Fishlock-less and Rapinoe-less Reign hasn't been impressive. NCC 2 - 1 SBFC Sky blue will put up a good fight, but NCC depth is too much. HOU 2 - 0 ORL Hou will show up for this game, and Orlando won't.
We discussed before the efficiency of the "all 1-1 strategy", but @59Amerinorsk's one is different and very particular: I wonder how much does it pay. Sorry, I was not aware: is there an USWNT friendly or camp in line? WWC roster hasn't been published yet, has it?
I understood the announcers on the weekend broadcasts to say that the U.S. NT players will henceforth be absent from the NWSL until after the World Cup. The roster hasn't been published to my knowledge. The National Team members of other countries will apparently be around for another NWSL game or two.
I am so "professional", right now, that I am going to wait for the updated injury report + international duty report, before making my next predictions. I guess this week not missing too many players will count a lot. Ahem... I teach Latin in school, and I have to fomally object to the accord of "robotum" with "delendam"!
Are really USWNT members going to miss this matchday, as it's been said somewhere? I still find no trace of that on NWSL injury report (that's not been updated since 26th of April), but I guess this would be very relevant info to predict the games.
Equalizer is also reporting that the US WWC players will not be seen again until after the WWC. The roster will be announced today, and so I think players may have already reported or are reporting to camp.
I was aware of that. I’ve been visiting BS for more than a year and I read it somewhere. Oops! I’m really sorry. I’m afraid my Latin is very poor. I only studied it (as a mandatory subject) when I was fifteen, forty years ago. Do you know if there’s a woso-related website in Latin?. I think something like that could help me a lot
I am sorry, for some reason ancient Romans and women's football have never overlapped, as far as I know! I'll try do drop some insight here from time to time about the subject...
There's an ancient Roman villa in Sicily with a mosaic that shows girls in scanty outfits playing a ball game. They''re called the "bikini girls." So, as Cicero might have said, "Morbi enim magna."
Yes, it's in Villa Armerina, but they're clearly playing with their hands, not their feet. So it's not soccer (unless it's the replay of a hand-ball in the box! ) (Sorry for the scantily clad picture )
