🗣 [@tjuanmarti] | The soap opera is over: Diego Palacios will NOT play for Barça. The agreement was made but the signing of Junior made him see that going to the first team would be complicated. Los Angeles gave more money. The signing, for 4 years, will be official on Monday. pic.twitter.com/jxdSBQhMUK— BarçaTimes (@BarcaTimes) August 8, 2019 Alright, now we are just getting silly.
With @jeffrueter: Sources tell @TheAthleticSCCR that Nashville SC has agreed to a deal to acquire 24-year-old German midfielder Hany Mukhtar from Danish club Brondby. Expected to be a DP. https://t.co/8DFb1bAbQg— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) August 26, 2019 Hey, there you go. Nashville seems to have signed a non-USL player finally.

That has been the assumption since, supposedly, they turned down offers from Fiorentina this summer. Thinking they are probably going to pull what Atlanta did and wait for the Euro mid-season window when teams like to pay more. Same thing with Manotas in Houston. Interested to see how this Cavani thing plays out. There are reports that he has already agreed to a deal with Miami. But they re also supposedly after Luis Suarez. Then you got reports that Miami is in Barcelona (backed up by a tweet from Jorge Mas saying they are in Europe and people saying they saw Beckham in Barcelona) talking to a player that isn't Suarez (the "I'd fall over dead if it happened" Messi rumor). Miami is only going to sign one of Suarez or Cavani so would the Fire be able to make the other their marquee off-season move to raise interest with their move back to Soldier Field?
I don't think Messi is coming to MLS anytime soon. At least not before 2022. And the "rumors" of others coming to MLS this off season is going to get silly. Although I do hope to see some of them come true like Mandzukic to LAFC, Dries Mertens to NYCFC and Robert Lewandowski to LA Galaxy.
Likely NOT happening seeing as he just signed a contract extension with Bayern. Also, the better fit would be with Chicago.....New Owner, back at Soldier Field.....bring in a big Polish International!
I'm wondering if some MLS team makes a run at Mario Gotze. He is out of contract next year and for some reason strikes me as a Giovinco type who might sign with an MLS team at 28.
That's a good shout. He'd make a great replacement for Marco Fabian in Philly next season........ Andre Schurrle could be a good player in MLS, same goes for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. A move to MLS would make a lot of sense for him and his family. He could be a good fit with DC United as a replacement for LuchoRoo. I'm also surprised that MLS teams haven't tried harder to bring in Japanese internationals. Shinji Kagawa would be an interesting player to pick up. A little surprising that the three Canadien teams haven't made a harder run at Junior Hoilet too. Though I'd imagine his salary demands are probably higher than they are willing to pay. I realize Steven Vitoria had a very uneventful season with the Union all those years ago, but given the state of the defenses of the Canadien triumvirate, they could use him.
Yes, I kind of figured he wasn't coming over after he signed the extension but it would be awesome having someone like him tear up the league. And according to what I've read he wanted LA, so Chicago or any other city wouldn't have had a chance in getting him. Still hope Mertens and Mandzukic do materialize for the league.
Huge get for Inter Miami. He's not far from his prime. Exclusive: David Silva set to join David Beckham’s Inter Miami By @TonyEvans92ahttps://t.co/F4ubCRNYDT #mcfc— Indy Football (@IndyFootball) September 19, 2019

https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...s-personal-letter-saying-goodbye-chicago-fire Sad to see him go. Hopefully he'll be replaced, 51 goals in 3 season isn't anything to sneeze at.
Wondo signs for one more year with the Quakes, perhaps hoping he makes it harder for Josef to eventually reach his total goal tally: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...ris-wondolowski-re-signs-san-jose-earthquakes
I lack the know-how on copying a Twitter from my phone to here, but... FiftyFiveOne tweeted something yesterday supposedly from Darwin Quintero that was a highlight video and a message: "Gracias, MNUFC" Take that for what it's worth.
Guess this shouldn't be too surprising: Reporting with @samstejskal: Atlanta United has agreed to trade Darlington Nagbe to the Columbus Crew in a deal that is expected to bring a significant haul of allocation money. https://t.co/iz08kofgyV #ATLUTD #Crew96 pic.twitter.com/SlAx63w2Go— Paul Tenorio (@PaulTenorio) November 7, 2019
Crew had offensive troubles last year, especially when Zardes was away. Nagbe is likely to take the starting spot of Artur. We're still looking for a new CAM to replace Higuain. We're likely to sell Lalas Abubakar, probably to the Rapids for about as much as we're paying for Nagbe. Crew have lots of allocation money at present.
Sounds like Porter is trying to get the band back together: 1193002363453394944 is not a valid tweet id
I respect Porter and Bezbatchenko enough to believe they have no interest in Adi or trading Zardes. Adi is useless. Zardes could be upgraded but right now we're looking for a CAM in South America. There's a chance Trapp goes to Europe in which case we'd also be looking for another DM.
