In a rather odd few moves (even for MLS), RSL is loaning senior team member Pablo Ruiz (a young DP from Paraguay) and Monarchs players Andrew Brody and Josh Heard to the same team in the Austrian Third Division - FC Pinzgau Saalfelden (as if that means anything to any of us). Ruiz is going for six months and the other two for twelve months. Apparently Saalfelden has new investors keen on promotion to the second division, and maybe these players will help?
Another winger? What a lod of shit. Speaking of crap. The Portland Timbers and Lucas Melano have mutually agreed to terminate the forward’s contract.DETAILS | https://t.co/qfkCRdssBh | #RCTID pic.twitter.com/Ts4hFdmCtS— Portland Timbers (@TimbersFC) July 16, 2019

This will likely allow Feese to actually get playing time with the Steel instead of being on the bench at MLS games.
Which would have prevented his coach from telling him, "The name on the front is more important than the name on the back." I'll see myself out, thanks.
Bornstein to Fire: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2019...-us-international-defender-jonathan-bornstein The man is probably still a national hero in Honduras.
1) Bornstein still exists? 2) The Fire bought and gave up the #1 allocation spot for someone playing in Israel?
Columbus Dispatch beat reporter is saying that Scottish international Chris Cadden to Crew is a done deal.
It is as far as MLS is concerned. They're apparently sending Motherwell a check for around $ 30,000. Motherwell wants $280,000. Well, so do I. And my odds are only slightly lower than theirs are. As I read the regulations, every federation is responsible for designating which category every club is in. USSF has told FIFA that all MLS teams are in category 4 and that seems to be that. Motherwell is saying that they're considering appealing to FIFA but I doubt if they're going to want to open that particular can of.worms.
By FIFA regulations, Morherwell is entitled to training compensation for every year he was with their youth program. They're not buying the player. They're paying the club for their training.
