2019 MLS Jersey Thread

Such a "fabric of Seattle" that I had to go look them up as I'd never heard of them before. Founded in 2009. I know why the PR says that, but I think its a stretch. We're not talking Starbucks or even Sur La Table here...

 

I've never heard of them either. To be fair it was always going to be hard for any sponsor that came after XBOX. Kinda like when Newcastle Brown Ale ended their sponsorship of the Toon.

 

I'm trying to come up with best case scenarios of a company that size and who they think they are reaching. Not my money.

 

Which is probably why they are sponsoring the Sounders and Reign. That being said, the fact that you can't even browse their website without providing an email address or logging into an account means that I'm not even going to see what products they offer.

 

Its all about brand expansion. Up until now Zulily's target audience has been young, female, wealthy, and (mostly) white, they are trying to expand beyond that.

 

Rumor is that Motorola will be the FIRE's new jersey sponsor.

Chicago Fire will make a "major partnership announcement" with Motorola at Pioneer Court on Tuesday. Expected to announce new jersey sponsorship deal. Team's 3-year deal with Valspar expired after last season.

I suspect that, much like myself, you are outside their target market due to age.

 

Nor had I. Which means the sponsorship is already working at creating brand awareness.

Lol! Never heard of them. Went to their website and it asked for my e-mail address to even enter. F*ck that. Sounders better be getting a huge payday from this because it's pretty embarrassing.

The Sounders Zulily look reminds me of the Liverpool Candy partnership from 88-92. So, aesthetically, I don't think it looks bad outside of that green, but who's counting 96% of the jersey?

I also ordered from the yesterday (Snagged a couple great tshirts and dress clothes for work) and they have a great variety of stuff for everyone. Well worth throwing your email in to browse. (You can always adjust the settings for notifications afterwards)

 

I believe it's 6 million for the jersey, more if they are the stadium sponsor (Zulily pitch).

Well, now the Sounders have a sponsor for whom it can actually make a tangible difference in it's fortunes and needs them as much as they need their sponsor. Microsoft used the sponsorship as a networking tool and reward for it's employees and partners in the form of free tickets, etc but they didn't need it. It will be nice to see a company grow with a sponsorship...

 

How'd that work for Ciao?
