Certainly should be a winnable game (and I think we do win). However, I just feel like we've been "figured out" again this year. If we can't do anything with the RBNY press we will be in trouble.

Lots of Red Bull fans will be there. Many of the remaining tickets will be sold to RB fans.

I don't know about that - quick check of StubHub and there are about 50 seats for sale in the river end alone and only 2 sections in the stadium without any seats for sale. I can never tell if all these are already sold by the Union and just up for resale or if the Union put some of them up there. I suspect some are people who will see if they get enough money but go to the game if their tickets don't sell and the weather is not too bad.

And can we get rid of the "Philly or Nothing" ads? Don't really understand the vibe and not sure I like the options.

Yea, with online scalping these days, there's a high chance you're buying directly from the Union (or a shitty scalping bot) even if you're on Stubhub or SeatGeek.

Team has achieved enough this year to make me believe they will win. Worse Union teams than this one have beaten better RB teams than this one, in Chester.

Result will go a long way to defining success or failure for this season. Lose and it's 0 for 8 in playoffs and cup finals, even after a best-ever season. Win and the team is in uncharted territory. I don't care how we do it, we just need to advance.

Trying to wrap my head around that one too. I know a lot of STH I speak to frequently are confused by its meaning as well.

Three days before the game and it's impossible to know the formation or the personnel that the Union will use in this game. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

A lot of it depends on whether Ilsinho starts or is a sub. He has been better as a sub but we also don't want him coming in at the 60th minute down 2-0 again.

What is everyone's preference regarding formation and whether Ilsinho starts?

4-4-2, Ilsinho off the bench. The only question to me is Aaronson or Fabian.

Agree with this, and I like Fabian over Aaronson. I predict RB is going to be physical, and Aaronson doesn't fair well when he gets pushed around.

He has to come off the bench. If he starts and we go down 1, or 2, goals, we don't have anyone else to come on to change things the way he can.

I agree that a 4-4-2 is the way to go. The midfield of Haris at the base with Jamiro on left and Ale on the right in front of Haris has been the most effective and provides the most defensive coverage. I also like Aaronson at the 10 and Fabian up top.

Then, the team can shift to a 4-2-3-1 to accommodate Ilsinho around the 60-70 minute mark.

That said, I think that Jim comes out 4-2-3-1.

Here are my guesses, in no particular order, based on who I expect to still be on the field after 120.

    Jamiro
    Kacper
    Bedoya
    Ilsinho
    Haris

I would have Fabian over Ilsinho, but I'm predicting Fabian will start and be subbed out at some point, with Ilsinho coming off the bench around the 60th minute.

Given his history of goofy decisions for PK shootouts, Curtin may well decide to send Ray out.
