2019 Match Day #21 Union v. Orlando City SC, July 6, 2019 p/d/p

Not a good sign if a team becomes dependent upon 1-2 players demonstrating uncommon creativity to generate offense.

The lack of anticipation and the lack of precision in the final third was noticeable...and as the game wore on it got worse.

There was a comment in the broadcast about crosses to nobody...chicken or egg?

I noticed on more than one occasion guys weren’t using channels...even on the last goal they nearly had two players fighting for the same pass.

One of them is a call up so that may be more understandable.

A lot of goals are scored due to the fundamentals of proper attacking tactics such as somebody being in the far channel and somebody trailing down the middle.

 

Still trying to figure out how that escalated from him being mad at me in the 70th minute for basically complaining about how all we do is steal songs from other MLS teams (LAFC is the new hotness so we need to do all their jams) to him telling you that he doesn't like you and his wife saying that everyone in the rows near us were assholes at the end of the game. Hell, I don't think I actually even said anything after he started cursing at me and just let it go.

 

I was generally expressing my frustration to myself at the result and she initially engaged me politely in a conversation more or less about about how being a supporter in the supporters section means never being critical of the teams performance and other cult like mantras. I refused the kool aid so they got salty again.

 

Kinda Glad I had to work and missed this one @PhillyMLS. I'll be there on the 20th though. Sounds like a lot of tourists in TRE.
