Since we're still alive, I guess we're cheering for lower league teams on Wednesday night like North Carolina, Louisville, and Memphis, right? On the off chance that we get drawn against them? 2019 US Open Cup Fourth Round Home team first, times are ET All games are on ESPN+ Tuesday, June 11 Columbus Crew SC (MLS) 1-0 Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC (USL-C) New York Red Bulls (MLS) 2-3 (aet) New England Revolution (MLS) Charleston Battery (USL-C) ppd. Anakin United (MLS) I hate sand! Houston Dynamo (MLS) 3-2 Austin Bold FC (USL-C) Saint Louis FC (USL-C) 2-1 Chicago Fire (MLS) Real Salt Lake (MLS) 0-3 Los Angeles FC (MLS) San Jose Earthquakes (MLS) 4-3 Sacramento Republic FC (USL-C) Wednesday, June 12 NY City FC (MLS) v. North Carolina FC (USL-C) 7:00 pm D.C. United (MLS) v. Philadelphia Union (MLS) 7:00 pm FC Cincinnati (MLS) v. Louisville City FC (USL-C) 7:30 pm Minnesota United FC (MLS) v. Sporting Kansas City (MLS) 8:00 pm FC Dallas (MLS) v. OKC Energy FC (USL-C) 8:00 pm Memphis 901 FC (USL-C) v. Orlando City SC (MLS) 8:30 pm Colorado Rapids (MLS) v. New Mexico United (USL-C) 9:00 pm LA Galaxy (MLS) v. Orange County FC (NPSL) 10:30 pm Seattle Sounders (MLS) v. Portland Timbers (MLS) 10:30 pm The field in Charleston was apparently unplayable. Lots of rain over the past 4 days, and they tried to use sand to mitigate the mud and puddles, but they wound up with muddy sand or something. Late word that they were unable to reschedule for an alternate venue on Wednesday, so who knows when it'll be played.
There's a footnote: A Note: The teams place on this bracket does not determine their next opponent. The Round of 16 draw will take place on June 13. The Fourth Round winners will be divided geographically into four groups, and pairings will be determined within those groups. A fixed bracket for the rest of the tournament will be established.
Thank you, St. Louis! What a wonder time of the year, indeed. As the ineffable @cleazer noted, y'all best be rooting for some CUPSETS. We're all fans of North Carolina FC, Louisville City FC, OKC Energy FC, Memphis 901 FC, New Mexico United, and Orange County FC tonight (and Charleston Battery, when they get rescheduled)!
Bridgeview is out! We. Will. Go. All. The. Way. All your cup are belong to us! Lamar, the Cup's acoming home, baby!
When they split up the groups for the draw on Thursday, I still expect us to be intentionally kept apart from Cincinnati. We'll be in a group with the likes of New York or North Carolina, and Cincy will be in a group with St Louis or Minnesota or whoever.
It's lunch so I have time to analyse this. And I think you're right, we'll head east while Cincy/Lou City will go midwest/south. Winners from last night: our Columbus Crew, New England, Houston, St Louis, LAFC, San Jose. Games tonight/whenever ATL-Battery gets rescheduled: NYCFC/North Carolina, DC/Philly, Cincy/LouCity, Minn/KC, FC Dallas/OKC, Orlando/Memphis, Colorado/New Mexico, Seattle/Portland, Galaxy/Orange County, ATL/Charleston Easy first, we'll have a western group with LAFC, San Jose, Galaxy/OC and Seattle/Portland. That group seems written in stone. Next, we'll have an eastern seaboard group with New England, DC/Philly and NYCFC/NC winner and one spot left over that we fit the best. Next will be a "southern" group with Houston, FC Dallas/OKC, Colorado/New Mexico and I guess ATL/Charleston. Last will be the "midwest" group with St Louis, Cincy/Lou City, Minn/KC and Orlando/Memphis. Group 1 - LAFC, San Jose, Galaxy/OC, Seattle/Portland Group 2 - New England, DC/Philly, NYCFC/NC, Columbus Group 3 - Houston, FC Dallas/OKC, Colorado/New Mexico, ATL/Charleston Group 4 - St. Louis, Cincy/Lou City, Minn/KC and Orlando/Memphis Alternative: Maybe NC cupsets NYCFC and Battery cupset ATL and they keep them together in the eastern seaboard group. Then move Orlando/Memphis to the southern one and us to the midwest one. Orlando/Memphis, ATL/Charleston, and NYCFC/NC (if NC wins) don't really have a natural grouping so the results of those matches probably have the biggest factor on the groupings. I'd give us 90% to be east and a 10% chance to be midwest.
Could see this a possibility as well... West - LAFC, San Jose, Galaxy/OC, Seattle/Portland East - New England, DC/Philly, NYCFC/NC, ATL/Charleston South - Houston, FC Dallas/OKC, Orlando/Memphis, Cincy/Lou City, MW - St. Louis, Minn/KC, Colorado/New Mexico, Columbus Maybe even flip St. Louis & Cincy/Louisville which would likely match us up with FCC next round.

New Mexico United tied the game up in the 4th minute of stoppage, 2-2. Colorado has been playing a man down since 72nd minute second yellow card to player.
Update with last night's winners: Group 1 - LAFC, San Jose, Galaxy, Portland Group 2 - New England, DC, NYCFC, Columbus Group 3 - Houston, FC Dallas, New Mexico, ATL/Charleston Group 4 - St. Louis, Cincy, Minn, Orlando Us, Orlando, and ATL/Charleston are the teams that I could see being moved around. Orlando might actually fit better in Group 3 as a Southern group. ATL/Charleston could be fit into the Eastern Group 2 where we would slot naturally into the Midwest Group 4. Or Orlando goes south and they put ATL/Charleston in the midwest one. I think it will be one of those three groupings.
The Charleston/Atlanta match has been reschedule for tonight. "The Fourth Round match between Charleston Battery (USL Championship) and Atlanta United (Major League Soccer) has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 13 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga. The closed-door match is not open to the public but will be broadcast on ESPN+ and complete the Fourth Round of the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer’s National Championship." Bummer for the fans.
The regional pools are as follows: MIDEAST REGION: Columbus Crew Atlanta United/Charleston Battery Winner FC Cincinnati Saint Louis FC EAST REGION: DC United New England Revolution New York City FC Orlando City SC MIDWEST REGION: FC Dallas Houston Dynamo Minnesota United FC New Mexico United WEST REGION: LA Galaxy LAFC Portland Timbers FC San Jose Earthquakes I, uh, really like our group. We just need to have Charleston pull off the CUPSET or get paired with Cincy or St. Louis.
