Adrian Heath said that Angelo Rodriguez has been dealing with a “nagging groin injury” this preseason. The striker will still be available for #MNUFC this weekend in Vancouver.— Jeff Rueter (@jeffrueter) February 26, 2019 #MNUFC coach Adrian Heath confirms Jan Gregus is main set-piece taker going into season. It’s a role #Loons’ Designated Player had at FC Copenhagen — as well as going inside box to get on end with his 6-foot-3 frame. Heath also looks for Gregus to be cog in defending set pieces.— Andy Greder (@andygreder) February 26, 2019
#MNUFC given a 36 percent chance to make MLS Cup playoffs in 2019, per FiveThirtyEight. With seven teams in, their prediction has Loons at 10th in 12-team Western Conference. #MNUFC's goalkeeping coach John Pascarella will be absent from tomorrow's match against #VWFC and next weekend as he serves the remainder of his four-game suspension for the Loons-Rapids hullabaloo last season.(Thanks to @thegoalkeeper for the reminder)— Northland Soccer Journal (@NorthlandSoccer) March 1, 2019 2018 DIE DIE DIE.
Obviously, Vancouver is not the best, but given our mass lineup change and playing on the road, I think we did quite well. Much better and purposeful in our possession. Positives Opara and heading Movement down the wings Mettanire crossing Vito in goal Clean short and mid range passing, especially with Ozzie and Gregus. Very calm.

Funny things is, is that we should be more confident about playing San Jose. BUT, Minnesota being Minnesota, why should we feel even remotely confident against a team that beat us twice last year? Still have a horrible taste from that home game against them last year. Could be the most angry I have ever felt against Heath. Putting that aside-----If San Jose does in fact man mark, I think that is a plus for DQ, and our speedy guys like Miggy and Romario. Hopefully they are working on set pieces in Blaine this week.
