Seems to be a pretty good quantity of conversation for this game, so I figured I'd start a pregame thread. How many of y'all are going to be at the game in costume?
I'll be dressed as a slightly frumpy late-40 yo Atlanta United player. (Can't wear something other than a jersey!)
My 9y/o son is doing Halloween as Josef Martinez, which got me thinking about soccer game appropriate costumes. That, and the guy at the first round game dressed as a jester. There were several guys at the opposite end from the Supporters' Section dressed as Ninja Turtles this past game, too.
Cultural appropriation be damned, I am going as Ruud Gullit… oranje jersey, proudly flying my natty dreds, singing FdB's praises in a weird Dutch-reggae fusion vibe.
So, nobody's wearing a T&T shirt with Altidore or Bradley on the back? Seriously, tho, I hope that's been put to bed.
A) That's funny. B) That's also cutting too close to the bone for AUFC via Kenwynne Jones, so maybe not a good idea.
