I asked Concacaf earlier in the day what ticket sales were for tonight's semi between the #usmnt and Jamaica in Nashville. I was told "over 20K." Capacity at Nissan Stadium is 69,143. #GoldCup2019— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) July 3, 2019 That's a bummer, Nashville turned out 45,000 fans for a pre Gold Cup friendly 4 years ago

So conclusion is: USS has nobody to blame but themselves. Organization dysfunction and high ticket prices. Otherwise the passion is there to near sell out big stadiums at many places throughout the country.
I really didn't expect backline changes for a semi final. I'm surprised to see Boyd get benched too, even though he had a terrible game against Curacao. Morris seems better used against tired legs
I like starting Morris and Altidore in a vacuum. Hope it's a pairing in the middle. Don't think Morris is set up to succeed playing wing against a packed d. Also bringing on Miazga for Zimmerman, although it's not overly consequential. Not a fan of the choice to take off Lima and leave on Ream. Lima should have switched sides and Cannon come in for Ream. Also, there was an overreaction to Boyd's performance. Could struggle creation-wise.
USS is the most powerful fed in CONCACAF and if they want the States to continue to host tourneys they'll do what they say. That means heavy influence over the pricing.
I don’t support either team but if I were in Nashville I’d have gone. This isn’t club football, it’s hard to believe that USMNT fans wouldn’t go if they were there. Maybe they’ve done a poor job of marketing the new wave of players to casuals. I guess it’s hard when you don’t have a Donovan though.
Do they get a significant share of Tournament revenue? I genuinely don't know. I would assume that money goes to CONCACAF
Thanks. I must have had the page open and not refreshed before I posted. Not a fan of Boyd and Lima being dropped.
Gregg finally puts in a CF Boyd can link and play off, then instead benched him. Why didn’t Arriola get benched instead? He’s been utterly mediocre all tournament.
To me Morris makes sense--he'll work tirelessly for 60, then Boyd will come on with his tricks and, hopefully make something happen against tired Jamaicans.
Seriously hoping for the bucket. It best fits the personnel. Pulisic can play kind of in a free role like Donovan. Help both build-up and creation, only with dribbling rather than long passing. Morris and Altidore can make diagonal runs off the shoulder of their respective cb's and play it back to the wings.
I truly feel sorry for Pulisic. He's gonna be stuck having to bail out this below-average team for his entire NT career. How are we as fans saddled with such a useless federation?
Yep. I read your post above and if Morris is up top it's a straight BB empty bucket redux...and it would make sense. I hope that's it. If Arriola can finish like Dempsey we're golden
Under the right coach, Pulisic, Adams, and McKennie in the midfield would make for a very difficult team to beat. Sadly, this current coach have no clue what to do with the talents we have.
