I did not hack your account, I promise. But SUMLSUSSF did and forwarded me the relevant info, along with another disbursement.
lololololol. I guess now Berhalter has a built in excuse for when the dynamic midfield pairing of Wil Trapp and Michael Bradley conjure a quarterfinal loss.
Per @YahooSports - Tyler Adams is out of the Gold Cup for the #USMNT. Replaced by Reggie Cannon. https://t.co/ekpJJsmzBB— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) June 11, 2019
Well, the US Women set the target win at 13-0 against a bad team, so 12-0 would indeed not be good enough.
It's a little annoying how many twitter randos have had info that's turned out to be true this year in the soccer world.
Part of the way Beerholder was having Adams play RB was to provide additional cover to one of those two in the middle. I don't think we have anyone else in the pool who can do that now which is a BIG problem. So what did we do last time our system was stalling out in the Gold Cup and we needed a last minute wildcard? [check's notes... see's "Bring Freddy Adu off the bench"] Well...shit.
I think he got injured nagging to his friends about having to play out of position in this coming disaster.
A 20 year old kid, with a bright, high paying future decides to lay off because of a "nagging" injury. Its not really speculation; its just a smart decision. Stu Holden of all people should be able to relate. Wasn't it Stu who's career was shortened by a knee injury in an international game? Holland?
Yeah, and finally killed off in the 2013 Gold Cup Final on a non-contact play. I was right down in front during the trophy celebration when the team was at the supporters' section. You could see it in his face even then that he knew that was probably it for his career. (Btw, what was Adams' actual injury?)
I just can't get behind the idea that our top players, no matter who and no matter where they play should be celebrated for ditching out on the national team. I guess I'll give Adams the benefit of the doubt on being injured but the amount of posters here that are all about guys not showing up makes me upset.
I believe he got an abductor injury in April playing for Leipzig. He has also played continuously since March 2018. Those were the reasons he was given more time to report to camp.
I'm going to assume that they just kept hoping whatever it was would heal. They just kept pushing back and pushing back his start date but my guess is at some point they just had to cut bait on this tournament. I'm going to give Adams the benefit of the doubt that he doesn't have the same shitty attitude as a lot of the posters here.
https://www.transfermarkt.com/tyler-adams/leistungsdaten/spieler/332705 Adductor. Missed 6 league games and the Pokal quarter and semi finals. Came back the last game of the season as well as the Pokal final
oh yeah, I remember that now. I've had one of those myself too. The "nagging" part make perfect sense.
I'm guessing he either "didn't embrace the right back position" or he's banging Pulisic's girl behind his back. We'll find out in approx 20 years.
Guys don't worry...that Venezuela lineup was our B team...we still have Pulisic, Bradley, and... Well, I guess that's it.
