Yep, now that he's declared his allegiance I also vault him above all other candidates. Quite frankly one of the most perfect breakout examples I have ever seen. BTW, this one of the most surreal periods of US soccer I have ever seen. We have a ridiculous crappy NT but at the same time we have a player breaking out in to NT and CL every year.
They may or may not have desserved it but one loss to an underdog doesn't justify it. The body of work is what justifies (or should) justify it. I believe Berhalter should be fired. I don't believe he should be fired for the one game against Canada. He should be fired for his body of work
Ahem..................eyes peeled. Chris Richards & Derrick Köhn trained with the 1st team. Kimmich is planned at CDM tomorrow. Martínez & Pavard would be the CB duo as Boateng won't play v BVB. The RB position would be vacant. Richards, who is highly rated at the club, could be a surprise inclusion [@Plettigoal] pic.twitter.com/2U27zeSOGJ— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) November 5, 2019

Transfer interest in #USMNT U-17 star Gianluca Busio is ramping up, w/sources confirming to me a recent Italian report of a looming Fiorentina bid (I'm told it's more than $3M). A youngster that perhaps the broader USMNT fandom doesn't know about. Otasowie at Wolves. Really impressed with Owen Otasowie against PSG tonight. Campbell also looked at home at U23 level. #wwfc ratings: https://t.co/Q64En8YRqO— Alex Dicken (@alexedicken) November 20, 2019
So... Dest, right? Adams until the injury seemed like a lock; maybe Pomykal in the summer. But Dest has to be the pick, no?
Adams won last year. Dest is it, unless Sargent scores 6 goals for Bremen down the stretch and Dest mostly rides the pine at Ajax.
So far the winner is undisputed MNT starter and also so far only the winner becomes undisputed MNT starter. Good or bad? I'll say "good" as it means that 6 starters at 2022 are CP generation.
At the moment Dest is the runaway winner from the Euro contingent. Let's hope that players such as Sargent and Weah give him a run for his money as the season progresses. Biggest disappointment has to be Sebastian Soto. He broke into the Hannover first team at the end of the last year in the Bundesliga. They were relegated, and then he demanded a transfer. He wasn't transferred and now he's not playing in the Bundesliga 2. Hannover, by the way................is near the relegation zone of Bundesliga 2. Really precarious situation there. Gloster got out. Soto didn't.
*pictures the MNT as a Dali painting, but instead of melted clocks, a melted soccer field with melted soccer balls floating on by...* *Painting's title is "Persistance of Imcompetency".
Weah seems to be done for the year. It's Dest. I don't think Soto demanded transfer. Gloster did, Soto wasn't certain.
Maybe I got that slightly wrong. Soto's contract is expiring at the end of this season, and he rejected several contract extensions from Hannover. Hannover also reportedly rebuffed transfer interest from other clubs. He can sign a pre-contract with another club in the new year. So basically Hannover isn't playing him because they know he's going to leave on a free to play elsewhere. Totally lost year for him.
Sounds vaguely similar to EPB at SKC and MLS...doesn't it? Perhaps it is a warning against signing in Europe too? Maybe all of our young prospects should go to South America?
Eyes peeled.................. Gio Reyna is reportedly “due to be promoted to the (BVB) senior squad for their winter training camp in Marbella.” #USMNT https://t.co/wzvxFuUgR7— MLS Buzz (@MLS_Buzz) November 22, 2019
I think there was an injury in there also, it has all not been club decision. Teams can play games like this until things get desperate. Relegation to the 3.Bund would be the kind of thing that might make a team start playing its best players regardless of whether they will be around next year. Most likely, most of the Hannover squad would be able to leave or have to be sold if they were relegated. Hannover does not seem particularly well run.
Sneaky Breakout potential. Won't be surprised if he debuts this season..... 1199701365280276483 is not a valid tweet id Also, Gio Reyna & Dortmund took on Konrad de la Fuente & Barcelona in the Youth Champions League today. Indeed, our boy was in the 18 for Wolves' Europa League match against Braga. We seem close to a debut here...…………… 1200161754401189894 is not a valid tweet id Another young defender folks should keep an eye on is Travain Sousa. He's formerly of Sacramento Republic, but now is at Hamburg. 1200103688527847426 is not a valid tweet id Chris Richards and Taylor Booth at Bayern Munich were pleading for food!! if somebody would like to send me and @TBLaRoca23 some thanksgiving food for tomorrow that would be greatly appreciated 🥰 we miss thanksgiving 🥺 #somebodyhelp— chris richards (@eastmamba) November 27, 2019
