Personally, I'm anxiously awaiting the official word on how FAM funds will be used at concessions. With less than a week to go, to not have any official word is concerning. A few weeks ago my ticket rep said the ability would be "limited" with more info to come by the start of the season.
Someone on Reddit said they talked to their rep who said we would get an additional "digital ticket" to scan throughout the season in order to use FAM at concessions. Then someone else said their rep told them they would just scan the actual game ticket. Evidently everything is running smoothly. Personally, I'm wondering whether we can use FAM to buy alcohol. I'm guessing no?
My guess is that its not going to work with the individual beer guys, but it should work anywhere that they have a point of sale kisok/cash register for beer or food as long as you're of legal age to purchase.
Its Tuesday the week before the policy goes into effect ... I am sure all the STMs will know if they read their email, but I am sure all the casuals will be caught out, especially if it turns out to be more restrictive that what the policy was last year which made for all sorts of chaos, even if this similar to the policy at FedEx.
I've heard. It's going to be extended specifically to the North End to include: Clear flags Clear tifo Clear blow-up dolls and other inflatables That's only fair. It aligns nicely with the clear safe-standing rails which won't become visible until the 2020 season. Even-Steven. Whenever a goal got scored, we tossed clear beer into the air . . .
I'm kind of old school, something is either "clear", i.e., all items in the "clear bag" are visible, or it's not. I'm awaiting this version of Newspeak.
D.C. United Announce Updates to 2019 Audi Field Bag Policy https://www.dcunited.com/post/2019/02/26/dc-united-announce-updates-2019-audi-field-bag-policy "In order to streamline Audi Field access, there will be two designated security lanes to get into the stadium in 2019. Express lane: Reserved for fans who come to Audi Field without a bag. Regular lane: For fans who need to have bags screened by security prior to entry. If fans need to bring a bag into the stadium, please see important information on specifications below: • No bags larger than 14” by 14” by 6” will be allowed into Audi Field. • No backpacks will be allowed (cinch/drawstring bags that meet size specifications will be allowed). • Clear bags are not required but must meet the specifications above."
Also, that size policy is what is allowed at Capital One Arena, but is a bit smaller than what the Nationals allow.
Why do I think this is going to be a cluster f?: "New in 2019: Concession vouchers are now available for purchase via the FAM platform! Limited quantities will be available for each match. Simply log in via the D.C. United app to apply your credit and purchase a voucher, which will be combined with your 10% Member concessions discount."
"This season, all Members receive a 10% discount at the Audi Field Club Shop and at in-stadium concession stands. An extra ticket has been loaded into your D.C. United account that identifies you as a Member. This ticket must be shown at the Club Shop and concession stands in order to receive your discount. We recommend saving this ticket to your mobile wallet so that you can easily access it at any time." I assume you can use the discount ticket even WITHOUT the FAM Concession Voucher.
I assume "now available" actually means "will be available sometime, but not actually now" because I see nothing.
After reading your post, I checked my account. I didn't see this amongst my tickets either. Does it seem to others that everything is being done at the last minute or is this just the way things are done now? asitis
Haven't checked yet for the 10% discount coupon. However, note that the announcement from DCU lists several concessionaires who do not accept the discount -- the Arepa Zone is one of those where you will pay full price regardless.
