A general bit of advice for you, as well as a reminder for our longtime posters: we're all here for the football. With that in mind, we here are taking a zero-tolerance policy towards expressions of racism, sexism, discrimination based on sexual orientation, xenophobia, ad hominem attacks, insults (towards a group of people, countries, or fellow posters) and trolling. Infractions will get you booked - and if you ask where was your warning, this is it. If you see a fellow poster insulting you or a part of your identity (race, sex, nationality, etc.)? Don't respond in kind - REPORT IT. It is the fastest way for us mods to handle the offending posts.

So, with that said, good luck to both sides, and let's enjoy!

I think it will be a close game. Bahrain has improved as we can see in their preparations. UAE on the other side declined a bit since their World Cup campaign, but still a slight advantage as they play at home.

    2-1 for UAE

Boring game overall. As expected, Bahrain did well and had a few counters. UAE disappointed (like they do for some time now).

Interesting fight for group win now as it decides who gets the easy route!

I don't think India has taken the lead at a top Asian level game (seniors) in my lifetime!!

The result between India-Thailand surprised me quite a bit. But while I was impressed by India;s finishing and saw a few nice moves by them, I actually did not find the level of play by either India or Thailand to be quite at the level I like to see in a continental championship.

Thailand have sacked Milovan Rajevac after their defeat to India. And to think that they brought Rajevac after sacking their legend Kiatisuk Senamuang (despite all the great work he did) to "shore up the defense". D'oh!

I was surprised by India's victory over Thailand. India's National Team will have lost of work before becoming a major team in Asia. It should work hard to go to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The big tests will be against the UAE and Bahrain.

Rajevac's defensive system did not suit Thailand's strength in their possession oriented attacking style of play.
