I think what @seolseol means is that Tomiyasu has to stay in Bologna at this point and not rush moving to a bigger club and facing the risk of being benched.
Mihajlovic is furious because Japan used Tomiyasu against Mongolia, as he was forced to sub him out against Inter Milan last week as a result of what looked like a muscle strain. Moreover, Tomiyasu missed today's match against Roma as a result. Previuosly, Tomiyasu, injured himself against Mongolia in late 2019 which made him missing a whole month for Bologna during that time. No wonder Mihajlovic is angry, because Moriyasu needlessly used Tomiyasu against Mongolia again. https://t.co/xV7ZqDhQgo?amp=1
Atalanta set to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu. Atalanta's head coach Gian Piero Gaperini is said to be the one who requested the transfer as he is impressed by Tomiyasu and thinks he can fit into Atalanta's 3-back formation. The deal could be finalised within the next few days, as Atalanta can offer Musa Barrow (his transfer fee is 15 million Euros) in exchange to get Tomiyasu. https://www.fantacalcio.it/amp/calc...calciomercato-atalanta-tomiyasu-barrow-406774
Takehiro #Tomiyasu agreed personal terms with #Atalanta for 5-years contract. Now #Atalanta are working to finalize the deal with #Bologna. They are confident to reach an agreement. #transfers https://t.co/bDMqXjhpye— Nicolò Schira (@NicoSchira) June 16, 2021
With Barrow swapping to Bologna, it's going to be fine. Great chance for Tomiyasu and another great deal by Atalanta.
Yep, EPL is more fast-pace than Serie A overall plus the language differences. His Italian is pretty decent as of now, if he moves to EPL, he needs to work on his English as well.
Looks like he will be joining Spurs. I think that Spurs will be playing with a back 3 this season so more than likely he will be playing as a RCB this season.
I'm a bit pessimistic of this move. I always deem Serie A as a better league for shaping up your defending skills, and I'd rather him staying there. The pressure will be huge, but good luck.
