The hype on this lad since the friendly has already gone through the roof. Look at the RM forum even.

I suspect he'll get 1st team game time this year + maybe a couple cup games.

Kubo has said he feels good in midfield and everywhere else, but I hope he'll soon get some playing time in a more offensive position though.
To show what he's really capable of.

In the meantime, he has caused mass hysteria lol.

I thought that was a great debut, he was neat, tidy, showed great touches, wasnt afraid to take players on either. For only 18 its just crazy, the fact he is winning over fans so quickly, the coaches too, its all quite amazing really, even spanish media are raving about him

I really hope he gets a couple of goals in pre season, that would really put a spanner in the works if he continues at this level, but the thing is he can play even better than he did there!

part of me kind of hopes he does stay at castilla as he will play week in week out which means more wonderful highight reels for us!

    What's this sheet?
    I'm shocked.
Is Zinedine Zizou Zidane RM manager or some sort of Allegri with a mask?
I missed the game but from these highlights it seemed Kubo played as a CM or DMF ala Hasebe.
I know that this is only a friendly but it's utterly stupid waste a pure talent as him in a spot like this.
Despite all this he was fine, probably more then fine if we take in account he was out of role.

Yeah its odd as he says that Zidane told him to be present in the last 30 meters but he was playing really deep at times, althought he was a key figure in linking midfield and getting up the pitch, so either he wasnt listening to zidane (lol) or hes muddled up his duties in his quote

I know he's not a no-UE spot but Bale leaving RM can be a good news for Kubo chance to play for RM since this season?

To push Bale out... I know it's not the main reason, but it might have played a role.

And I just worried about Japanese media hype machine.
The Spanish one is also tremendous. Don't push too much pressure on a 18 years old kid.

In Japan he's bigger than Miyaichi was in his golden years? (Arsenal hype + Rotterdam first season hype + Zac Japan call + Youngest ever with JNT jersey?)

About RM I think they are desperately in search for a new star after Ronaldo left. They tried Hazard but it seems Kubo is giving the media more stuff to BS on.

used almost every sub but him lol

then again rodrygo didnt get on and he was also their best player in the 2nd half last game, wouldnt read too much in to it.

I think kubo should stick to castilla and light it up there

    About the team...

Cruciate ligaments rupture for Asensio.

    But Bale should leave anyway.
