Yes. He injured himself while trying to dribble past opponent’s defenders in a league match, and he had to be stretched off the match just few minutes after being subbed in.
Hiroki suffered the same injury as Dembélé, flew to the same clinic in Finland and underwent surgery on the same day. Barça B took the pitch with a T-shirt wishing him well: 💪 バルサ B の選手、安部 裕葵への応援メッセージを込めたTシャツを来て、ピッチへ#ÀnimsHiroki #頑張れ裕葵 pic.twitter.com/6E3oD21o6D— FC バルセロナ (@fcbarcelona_jp) February 16, 2020
Barcelona B will play the final of the play-offs today against their local rivals Sabadell. A win will see them promoted to the Spanish Segunda Division (Spanish second tier). Hiroki Abe was not part of the squad for the first two play-offs matches, which Barcelona B won in their road to the final. When Abe got injured, reports suggested he will return in July, but it seems he is still not fully fit to play.
He should try to see if there are any clubs in Segunda Division willing to take him in. He is still not at a level to be playing for a La Liga Club yet.
This upcoming season could be a big one for Abe. It's possible that Barca will go full La Masia/youth this season and Abe should try to take advantage of that. I think he's too old to go out on loan as he will be 22 very soon. It's now or never for him. He either establishes himself this season in the first team, or fails and gets shipped out next winter or summer.
I don't think he will ever be a starter (Read my first comment in this thread), but he doesn't have to be. Barcelona plays 50+ games every year so there is plenty of opportunity for Abe to get some game time. Right now is a crucial moment for the club which will decide the future in the upcoming years. Because of the way that Barca has handled transfers in the recent years, there is not much money for them to spend unless there is a complete clear-out of players. This is the best opportunity for Abe to prove himself as the management will more than likely be looking for cheap options to fill positions in the team (i.e. try to use youth players). If he can't get playing time in the upcoming season then it's unlikely that he will ever get any and should probably leave.
Nobody posted it but Abe actually got a serious injury months ago. He's finally back on the bench this week
It's really too bad, Hiroki should be one of the core members of the Olympic squad and maybe a fringe A team candidate by now. Just super unlucky.

This is Hiroki Abe's first pre-season with Barcelona since joining the team 2 years ago. He was injured in the lash 2 seasons and could not take part in the preseason, now is his real chance to play for both the A and B team. So far he is doing well, 1 assist in the A team match (match ended 4-0), and 1 goal and 1 assist in a 3-0 win for the B team.
As I said earlier, Barcelona have a bad history dealing with injured players. It seems their players always get injured repeatedly.
Abe is not registered in FC Barcelona B's squad for this season. The club is reportedly set to terminate his contract to allow him to leave.
