Sadly, for Yankme haters like me, there are a lot of Yankmes games shown on national TV. I too would prefer some diversity myself.
I can't say if ESPN+ will be included on a cable service, but my guess is no, as it's described as the network's streaming service. I know you have an older TV, which I assume means no HDMI (or similar) input, which would allow you to use as, basically, a monitor for your Mac? Anyway, I don't think this deal will just be about Bayern - and only Bayern - every week. The announcement said: "ESPN+ will feature exclusive live and on-demand replay coverage of more than 300 matches per season from the Bundesliga." They can't all be Bayern Munich matches. Plus, the ESPN announcement referenced a reason for why they bought the right as being the number of American players in the league. Anyway, that's not the way it works for the other leagues carried on that platform, where you can watch whichever game you want that's being broadcast at a specific time, or replays of anything later on. It's just so cheap - only about $5/month - and you get MLS matches, Serie A and tons of other stuff.
You missed my point--they will be doing a weekly game on ESPN proper, if I'm reading it right. I just don't want that to be the Bayern highlights show. The trick is getting ESPN+ in a format I can use. ESPN 3, the predecessor, was a part of the U-verse package, but you had to use a computer to access it (then). The challenge is that you have to go ala carte for almost anything you might want to watch these days--each with another app and another password to remember. And another monthly bill. I'm less than thrilled with that.
I don't care about the passwords/other hassles so much, but it's getting pretty expensive to be a fan of a lot of sports (like me) compared to a traditional pay TV package.
Yep. I know. I got rid of cable and just deal with the consequences of doing so. I miss some stuff, but it is what it is. I don't, for example, get ESPN at all, just ESPN+. And unless I pony up for YouTube TV (or something similar) I won't be able to watch any of the Crew matches in this tournament. Life goes on.
Did Liverpool get the trophy today? I was looking for the presentation, but I didn't see it (was watching on my phone off and on around errands).
Josh Sargent and Bremen stay in Bundesliga on away goals. Cadden's pit stop Oxford United to play in League One playoff final.
If their Bundesliga coverage is similar to their Serie A coverage, you don't need to worry about it being "BayernTV".
Again, not to be rude, I wasn't talking about ESPN+/streaming but the game(s) that will be shown on regular ESPN cable. Most of it will be on ESPN+--but not all, according to reports.
CBS' UEFA contract has begun. They'll have the draw tomorrow. https://www.cbssports.com/soccer/ne...rts-hq-how-to-watch-stream-online-time-teams/ Starting in the 2020/21 season, they'll get the Europa Conference League (third tier) and the UEFA Super Cup. Most games will be on All-Access with other games on CBS Sports Network and CBS.
A very small history. But they did acquire NWSL rights this year and I can't imagine they will be worse than Turner was the last few years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soccer_on_CBS_Sports
