Your lot are going to spend over time watching Japanese Abroad in the Eredivisie. I lost count on the number this season.
Great, it seems that this new generation will make us forget about the likes of Haraguchi and Yuki Kobayashi sooner than expected.
AZ – Fortuna Sittard AZ: Bizot 7; Sugiwara 7, Vlaar 7, Wuytens 6,5 (76. Reijnders -), Wijndal 6,5; Koopmeiners 7, Midtsjø 7,5, Ouwejan 6; Stengs 6,5, Boadu 7 (64. Druijf -), Idrissi 6,5 (64. Clasie -). Fortuna Sittard: Koselev 6; Passlack 5, Amiot 6, Ninaj 5, Pinto 6; Smeets 5, Ugur 5,5 (66. Ioannidis -), Diemers 6, Carbonell 5 (71. Essers -); Karjalainen 6 (67. Zeka -), Damascan 4. Scheidsrechter Higler: 7.
And he made it into Voetbal International's "Team of the Week" too! Some debut one can say. His mother must be proud

Just say: keep calm dutchmen. Honda and especially Ono were Top Players in their golden years. Ono fecking won UEFA Cup when it was a tournament played by the 2nd/3rd best team of the top tier european leagues. It will be a while till the next japanese (or asian) will win such a trophy.
This is one of the advantages of moving to new leagues by experiencing new teams and roles and become a more complete player. Makoto Hasebe almost played in every position (apart from striker) in Germany, and look how he is Japan’s most consistent and reliable footballer in the past 15 years, let alone the calmness he used to brought to Japan NT every-time he stepped on the pitch.
