No, you're not alone. And I even post before and after odds to show how a bad (or good) draw can change a team's outlook. The odds I post are about winning it all, but if I looked at odds to advance to the elimination round of 16 the swings would be even greater. On one hand a Pot 1 team which draws Real Madrid, Atletico, or Tottenham in Pot 2, and/or Inter or Lyon in Pot 3 shoud see worse odds. On the other hand, the Pot 3 or even 4 team who avoids those mentioned in the prior sentence, and gets Zenit or Chelsea as their Pot 1 team should also see better odds. Group of death could be any Pot 1 team, in some ways the weaker ones make it more of a Group of Death, then either Madrid team, or BVB or Spurs or Valencia, then Inter or Lyon, finally Red Bull? As for Barca, we avoid all of our fellow Pot 1 teams Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester City, PSG, Liverpool, Chelsea and Zenit. In Pot 2 we will avoid Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, leaving Borussia Dortmund, Náples, Shakhtar Donetsk, Tottenham, Benfica and Ajax as potential opponents. In Pot 3 Barcelona avoid Valencia, and can draw Lyon, Bayer Leverkusen, Red Bull Salzburg, Olympiacos, Club Brujas, Inter Milan, Dinamo Zagreb. In Pot 4 they could get any of Lokomotiv Moscow, Red Star Belgrade, Genk, Galatasaray, Red Bull Leipzig, Slavia Praga, Atalanta, Lille. In short we should advance, not too many tricky Pot 4 teams this year, and even the Pot 3 teams we could face don't strike much fear.
Any draw should be manageable. Probably better to avoid BVB, Tottenham, Inter (just hate traveling to Italy) ... then again, stronger teams should show what this team is about early on.
The group stage draw is okay but I like it more during the knockout stages. Love the anticipation. A big reason why I prefer it when the semi-final draw is made AFTER the quarterfinals have been completed rather than conducting both the quarterfinal and semi-final draws on the same day.
Would have loved to seen as Barca version of this. Champions League Group Stage teams are set! Three potential opponents 🤔📸 Screenshot and share who you got for BVB’s #UCLdraw pic.twitter.com/ZqIG9Op8Hl— Borussia Dortmund (@BlackYellow) August 28, 2019

I read somewhere that Barca have the longest run of finishing first in their group. Last time was in 2006-07 when they finished second behind Chelsea. That streak is in serious jeopardy.
38% - Since the current format of the UEFA Champions League began in 2003-04, six of the 16 teams to win the trophy were drawn in to Group F (38%). Wait. #UCLdraw— OptaPaolo (@OptaPaolo) August 29, 2019
