Younger, more hype, and Atletico over paid. Also a team thats wins league titles and CL appearances will want more money.

Geraldes returns to Sporting. I'd say this is absolutely his last chance now that Bruno is gone.

Hopefully he makes this one count, always liked him but he's never really stood out at Sporting.

He flopped at AEK, he has talent but something about him seems like he's not 100% dedicated.

Would anyone try to get back Palhinha from Braga? Dude has become a stud at DM for them.

Daniel Podence officially joins Wolves for 20 million. We get almost 1M of that.

Doesn't look like we're getting any reinforcements. Third place is going to be hard to hold on to with only one unproven striker and losing BF.

Vietto surely will now play where Bruno played, and hopefully Wendel can step up.

Honestly 3rd or 4th makes little difference other than dignity. I'd rather save the money for the summer rather than get more loaned players.

Last day of the market. I don't expect much although since yesterday we've been linked to Taremi from Rio Ave whose been in impressive form.

Different from a Luiz Phellype type of player, this guy from what I've seen runs and harasses the opposition with his physical presence. Reminds me of Slimani. He has 9 goals in the league so far, and also of note he won 6 penalties for his team, including 3 penalties against us when Rio ave beat us at home this season.

If it's a good deal we could use more players up front like that.

Rangers seem interested in getting Miguel Luis. Maybe the guy could learn a thing or two from Steven Gerrard if he did go there.

Better to save what money we have for the summer than spend it on more mediocrity imo. At 27, he'll never really give us a return either.

Forgot about Pedro Mendes though, good opportunity for him to show what he's worth.

Completely agree. We need to limp to the end of this season before that money is reinvested. It may mean a poor few months for us, but we can really rebuild the team in the summer by letting some of the loan players go and buying some good quality with the Bruno money

True. Although if you believe all the rumours then we will have little money left because we're in debt.

And even if wait until the end of the season, we still need another striker since Phellype is done. Taremi wouldn't cost that much and he's got an impressive goals coring record.

Braga's making moves and if they finish ahead of us, we would have to play an extra qualification round for Europa League, which is something I'd prefer not to do.

That’s the buzzkill right there. How much will actually be left?

This is from 2016 but it is still relevant... The Big 3 were all in the top 20 teams with most debt....Sporting 20..... Porto 16..... Benfica 2....Now our debt has prob got much larger (doubled) and may be a larger ratio of our overall income compared to the other 2 but this is ugly....This big new stadiums built on debt for Euro 2004 we are big reason these teams are all owned by the banks due to their revolving debt.... Socios are always saying we own the club the same way a home owner with a 500k mortgage on a 600k houses says they own the house lol.... The banks own it all!

be lucky if you get 4th. this team is finishing 5th or 6th place this year and will have no europe competition next year.

Apparently Rio Ave demanded 3.5 mill for their 60% share. That would make him worth something like 6 million.

Been said that we've passed on the chance to make the Bolasie deal permanent, would have cost 4.5mil

Out of the 3 loans he was definitely the 'best' but he's nothing special and not worth that money.

Lets hope so. He's been balling for Braga and has really grown.

Matheus Pereira completed his 30th game for WBA which means the clause in his loan deal activates and we are going to receive 10 million for the player.

Considering he never seemed to be an option for us, 10 million is very good money. But there was also this feeling he could have been so much more.

Yes .... I doubt we could have raised his value to 10 Mil even if he played every game for us this season..... Crazy how Matheus and Palhinha have vaulted in worth when playing on other teams.... Really says something

Lots of Reports saying Silas is on his way out and Rúben Amorim will be the next coach.

I always liked Silas not sure why Sporting is taking this step. Amorim has done well at braga but is still fresh to coaching.

Rumour from A Bola. Not sure how legit it is since its a Benfica newspaper lol

Honestly it's another shot in the foot if true. He's had a good start with Braga but he has like 3 months coaching experience, we need an experienced coach and an experienced director of football planning the squad.

EDIT: Other media outlets picking up the story, Record says we have a 6M euro offer on the table
