Antuna would honestly be a decent third or fourth option for striker. He’s better at making runs and finishing than at the stuff a winger is supposed to do.
Two hours of my life wasted watching this game Aside from being a total bore fest not one of our players had a standout performance. Everyone looked sluggish and uninterested Almost seems as if Tata just thew out a whatever lineup out there to get this game over with Whatevs, time to start planning for next year
Very worrying performance if you take into account this being the U23 team. Of the starters only Moreno, Orbelin, Romo and Gonzalez were not U23s. Thus playing so badly against a bunkering team isn't a good thing with the tournament just being a few months away. An earlier the rest of the U23s only won against Pumas Premier 4-2. How a Pumas youth team scored 2 on them I would never know since it was behind closed doors. Huge step backward for the U23s this FIFA date after it seemed they were figuring things out.
Stop yourself. Come on you been around the block. I expect better from you. You know this means absolutely nothing.
The U23 qualifiers are in March and they are the toughest qualification process in CONCACAF since they are only 2 spots. There is a reason most of the team was U23 and they failed to impress today. Nations Leagues doesn't matter. That's what matters and today was a step backwards. If this was 2018 it wouldn't be a big deal but we are short on time and this FIFA week was a waste.
Hugo most likely told that fool to not turn his back on a goal kick and Romo got upset. Romo looked shaky af from the get go, you can tell he is the kind of player that cannot handle the pressure of playing on the senior team.
You're belittling Bermuda, they have been a Scrappy team this year. Costa Rica also had a hard time against them during the gold cup.
Saved tata and the team from a very embarrassing result for an unimpressive win. Let’s shit in him anyways. Imo he’s done much more than Alvarado but folks like to hate on him.
Doesn't Bermuda have players playing in English championship, Scotland, Ireland? I don't think that was a scrub team but we still should have beat them by 3 at home
tata getting shook and subbing in jimenez like "raul, un golecito por favor, me va a dar un infarto si no le ganamos a estos boludos, la concha de su madre..."
Guy just scored a game winner in the 90th minute. what level of celebration would have been acceptable for you?
I've said it before that Bermuda was the team that surprised me the most in the Gold Cup although they were totally disappointing in their game in Bermuda. That being said Mexico should have done better and at least created dangerous shots which they didn't. It was a "Chepoesque" game yesterday. And like I said it matters because it's the U23 and teams will bunker against Mexico. Yesterday for example Romo and Orbelin sucked but who cares. They will be out of the team and done for. On the other hand, Calderon and Jorge Sanchez were also terrible and there is problem because they should be starters in the team. This might mean that Mozo moves up but he's not as good defensively and that opens up another problem for the U23s.
