This squad looks beautiful.

Let’s just exclude Memo for right now, Cota is the best goalkeeper in form that our country has. Araujo and Salcedo are the best we have at the moment with Moreno probably not making it to Qatar. Jorge Sanchez will start at RB, but looking forward to seeing Mozo get some time. Kudos to letting Gallardo sit this one out because we have quite a few up&coming LB’s we gotta check out. Angulo Arteaga and Calderon are all prospects. I say Angulo is the most mature player; I think he goes to Qatar baring no setbacks. But wouldn’t be surprised if Arteaga got the start there. Also, Angulo can even pair with Araujo or Salcedo at that LCB spot. Which I honestly wouldn’t mind seeing.

I think Ivan Rodriguez will start at CDM (also kudos to letting Edson rest this one). Let’s go with HH and Cordova (or Charly) starting just in front of him.

Macias Chucky and Pizarro/Tecatito up top. Lainez todavia de cambio. Again, props to not calling Chicharo or Raul. Macias honestly has the potential to be just as good as them, maybe even better. A striker with his speed, mobility and technique will be absolutely dangerous playing beside the likes of Chucky, Tecatito, Pizarro, Lainez. My only complaint is no Vega. Who I also can’t wait to see play with the wingers of this generation. Alexis and JJ are the answers to that “striker problem.” We have 4 quality strikers right now, whom IMO are all capable of being starters. We can’t always have all 4 so it’s gonna be quite the battle between now and Qatar.

This is our future. The only no brainers he left out are those two strikers, Edson, Gallardo and Jonathan.
