?

Netherlands will end up as nr. 1 in the group.

  1. No-brainer. Of course we will.

    23.1%
  2. If we start like the Euro 2016 qualification, no way. We will go to Russia though.

    42.3%
  3. Not even going to qualify. We do a 2002.

    34.6%

France over Sweden, 2-1. Win against Lux with at least a two goal margin will put the Netherlands back to no. 2 spot. No pressure.. :p

    Should not be a problem.
Unbelievable the amount of injuries Oranje have.

I wouldnt be surprised if Oranje has trouble beating Luxembourg.

Sweden barely squeezed in a win... 1-0, I think the goal was after Luxembourg was reduced to 10 men. So yeah, Oranje needs to be super sharp from the get go, and put the game beyond doubt before Luxembourg get comfortable defending.

    Lineup v Lux:

    Stekelenburg
Brenet – Bruma – van Dijk – Blind
    Ramselaar – Wijnaldum – Klaassen
    Robben – Dost – Sneijder

Glad to see that Brenet has replaced Veltman, and, in theory, I like that we are not playing a typical DM versus a team who probably does not attack us much...although I do believe that any of Clasie, Vilhena or Fer would be more help in the CM than Klaassen.. maybe even de Roon.

Gotta worry about counterattacks though with that midfield, which is a crazy thing to say considering who we are playing, but...

If Brenet can't even defend against Luxembourg, well then the future isn't bright for him in an Oranje jersey

Half time 1-1. Robben our only good attacker, Van Dijk our only good defender.

Looks like we have another RB who cannot defend.

  15. What strikes me is the total lack of movement with the Orange players when in possession. The only one moving is the Orange guy with the ball. Are they forbidden to watch Bacelona or Bayern?

My god we have so many average players. Bas Dost is so useless as well.

We can expect more moments like this by Brenet unfortunetly he has concentration problems...

The midfield is so poor and Sneijder is a poor footballer, he cannot dribble and half of his passes are wrong. Time to change him.

    Put Fer in

I really don't understand why our defense keep making crucial defending mistakes: BMI, Janmaat, Bruma, Willems, Veltman and now Brenet. This is not bad luck. It is the mentality+positioning+football IQ that comes from good development. Robben may save us but he cannot do that all the times. Van Dijk definitely is one of the top central defender.

Fer is also a poor footballer who cannot dribble or pass. But at least he's tall!

This team makes me sad. Except for Robben, who is arguably the most important Oranje player of all time.

When did many of our players becomes so lazy that they forget moving to get open? Why did Robben has to waive his arms while has the ball in the attack area with 3-4 white shirts surrounding him? Where are the other 2-3 players that should be in open position to receive the pass?

Depay has the gift to shine against semi amateurs teams so it might be a good sub...
