I guess I was thick late last night. Feel free to delete my post that quoted it...

The window is the 8th thru the 18th, so expect Tuesday October 16 for the second match. The Bears will be on the road and after a bye week so Soldier Field still makes sense, though who knows since the original Colombia rumor was Miami.

/I miss the good old days when we would play international games on weekends.

I don't know when our last weekend game was, but we hosted Ghana on Saturday July 1, 2017.

It's just harder to do if you want to get two games in during the international break during the Euro seasons. Ghana was a summer game. I'm tying to remember the last time we had a Tuesday/Saturday set of games.

Galcerep or a similar soccer writer said they were negotiating with M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore last week.

That says it will be in East Hartford, where we hosted Ghana in July 2017. Over the last ten years, what venues have hosted the most USMNT friendlies?

In the five Gold Cups from 2005 through 2013, USA played in the Pacific time zone. 2015 and 2019 will make two out of three Gold Cups that USA played only in the Eastern and Central time zones. I hope that means USA won't have any games start 9:00 P.M. or later.

Would it be time to start a 2019 thread?

With the Costa Rica friendly announced for earlier February, Gold Cup group stage games announced, the schedule looks pretty determined for the first half of 2019.
There are also strong rumours for March 2019 of friendlies vs
    Chile:
    http://www.latercera.com/el-deportivo/noticia/chile-jugara-estados-unidos-marzo/407377/
    and Ecuador:
    http://www.ecuavisa.com/articulo/deportes/nacional/432901-ecuador-jugara-contra-eeuu-marzo-del-2019
Somebody also put Japan as the pre-Gold Cup friendly game on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is obviously not a reliable source, but it's not too outlandish a possibility given that Japan will need a pre 2019 Copa América friendly in a similar time zone. Makes sense to stop in the USA before flying south to Brazil.

To recap what is likely for the #USMNT in 2019:

    late January: opponent TBD
    February 2nd: Costa Rica
    March 22nd: Ecuador
    March 26th: Chile
    early June: Japan
    mid-June to mid-July: Gold Cup.
    September: Concacaf Nations League x2
    October: Concacaf Nations League x2
    November: Concacaf Nations League x2

The Chile game is a go for the late March FIFA dates. Likely in Houston (but possibly in San Diego).
    http://chile.as.com/chile/2018/12/15/futbol/1544832342_272305.html

Because the #USMNT is already playing the Camp Cupcake games in California and Arizona and the El Tri signed an agreement recently to play one friendly a year in Dallas, it makes the US game more likely to be the Houston one than the San Diego one.

No update as of yet about the Ecuador one.
