I'm a little disappointed that this is not at Papa Murphy's, not that I can go tomorrow anyway. I wonder if they're just saving wear and tear on the field or if the nature of the lease for PPM makes playing a game like this there unprofitable. What do you think the approach to USOC is this year? Play starters looking for a win or give the bench some playing time? I've always thought that if you're going to play a game, play to win it, but I appreciate the other approach, too. Upcoming USL schedule is brutal and maybe starters need some rest. Of course, the way they've played lately, maybe they need the extra time to gel, too.
This is the only full article i could find on last night's game...looks like Reno 1868 is next. https://www.uslsoccer.com/news_article/show/918853
At the end of this US Open Results page is the next round draw.....Reno 1868, May 23 @7:30 at Greater Nevada Field (Reno). https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...nal-sides-in-second-round-of-2018-us-open-cup
If we get past Reno next week, our next likely opponent would be an MLS side. I think any chance of a US Open home game at Papa Murphys this year just flew out the window.

Sacramento wins draw to host round four match vs. Seattle. Edit: Date and time to be announced later today, but it will be either June 5th or 6th.
One NPSL team and one PDL team left.....not looking great for the "Cinderella Story" aspect to the U.S. Open this year. Hopefully one of the USL teams can knock off an MLS side (looking at you Sounders, lol).
And, having re-read my previous post (#4) in light of the 4th round draw, I have concluded I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about.......I'll shutup now and watch a replay of the Quakes vs DC United game for punishment.
Aw, don't be so hard on yourself. Criteria for home field has been a moving target over recent years, and this year may be the first that it was a true draw among the teams that applied to host. In recent years there was some picking and choosing that took place, and I think some "criteria" were merely suggestions. You don't deserve to have to sit through that game again.

Good effort first half. I think SRFC was the better team that half. I hope we have something left in the tank for Saturdays game.
Great game to watch! Something I really enjoy about this team is that they leave it all on the field. They may not have the best skills, or the greatest speed, or the best instincts, but there is no doubt that they give everything they have. Tonight’s game exemplified this.
One of the best @SacRepublicFC games I have ever been to and I’ve been to a lot. They take down a MLS team for the second year in a row. This year the @SoundersFC go down 2-1 in @usopencup play with @Sac_Battalion cheering the whole way. pic.twitter.com/3V3PIJapES— Dan 🟧 (@danieltyree) June 7, 2018

Highlights of Sac's two goals Note how both plays are started by Bijev's defensive effort. The first a successful tackle and the second an interception. Unsung MOTM

Next match will be @ LAFC and must be played between 6/16 and 6/20. We already have a match scheduled for 6/16 so the 20th seems most likely. June's schedule is turning out to be brutal: 6/2 v. OC 6/6 v. Seattle 6/9 v. Phoenix 6/13 @ Fresno 6/16 @ SA 6/20-ish @ LAFC 6/23 v. StL 6/30 @ Fresno
what a stack of matches - one thing for sure, Elliot will need to utilize the bench - noticed last night he seemed reluctant to goto the bench in regulation - btw where was Keven Alemán? didn't even make the 18
