    Yuma scored his 15th goal.
The chances of him staying in STVV this summer are 0,0001%. Curious to see what happens

Assist for his goal was Hashioka’s.

STVV and Waasland-Beveren locked in a snowy relegation 6-pointer right now. Yuma scored the 1-1 equalizer for his 16th of the season, and Hashioka redirected a ball in the opposition box to assist Mboyo's go-ahead goal.

lol, you can hear the Japanese players yelling directions in Japanese on the field.

Suzuki's deflected strike was bundled in by Mboyo to put STVV 3-1 up. 3-2 now after 9-man Waasland-Beveren pulled one back.

Hashioka overlapped on the right side and zipped a perfect cross on the ground for Yuma to complete a brace and extend their advantage to 4-2.

Sint-Truiden are now officially clear of the relegation danger, and they will retain their top division status next season.

Yuma Suzuki now has 2 more games to take his tally to 20 league goals in a single season.

I wonder what kind of Japanese players transfers will happen in this summer window.

Yuma Suzuki will obviously leave to a higher team/league in Europe.

Schmidt and Hashioka will be the most likely to stay, while Matsubara and Tatsuya Ito might ponder a return to the J.League.

I wonder which J.League players will kick-start their European adventure at Sint-Truiden this summer? Obviously, hard to guess, but most probably a CB, a CM/DM, and a striker/AM.

My predictions for this summer are:

    Striker: Tagawa, Hayashi, or Kakita

    CB: Seko, Machida

Maybe, Araki if they want to take a big gamble.

Still not sold on Tagawa as of yet. Maybe Mitoma instead of Tagawa. Mitoma can maybe try a move to Bundesliga as well.

Seko definitely, he is talented. Nishio is doing decently as well. Maybe Shunki Higashi if they are willing to take risks. Daiki Matsuoka as a wildcard maybe.

Italy would be nice. I can see him having success there (e.g. Fiorentina are poised to sell Vlahovic at the end of this season).

Also Hertha could be significant: even if they get relegated to 2. Bundesliga, they're massive.

Actually Suzuki mentioned Italy as his favourite next destination.
He basically, prefers moving to a CL team, if no Italian team competing in European competitions approached him, then he will consider moving to a CL-team from either Netherlands or Portugal.

Suzuki noted that he is aware of the offer from Hertha Berlin, and interests from French Ligue 1 clubs: Saint Etienne and Angers. However, he prefers either to move to Italy or to a team participating in the UEFA Champions League.

Not sure if his insistence on Serie A has got anything to do with Ronaldo there. Ronaldo may be going back to Real Madrid for 1 last run next season anyway. Maybe FC Benfica would be suitable for him imo, he stands a decent chance to vyig for a regular spot there. FC Porto would be difficult as likes of Taremi/Marega would be difficult for Suzuki to displace. Ajax Cape would be difficult as well.

Turkish giants Fenerbahce emerged as a potential destination for Yuma Suzuki.

The Turkish club offered Sint-Truiden 4.5 millon Euros + 1 millon bonuses.

Fenerbahce will also offer Swiss striker Michael Frey as an add-on in the deal.

The club is currently ranked second in the Turkish top division, which will allow them to play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

I don't like this. Don't get me wrong, Fenerbahce have a massive fanbase and Suzuki would replicate the performances in Turkey, but given the state of the Turkish Super Lig... is that a step forward?

An interesting interview by DAZN Japan with Inter Milan's CEO Giuseppe Marotta.

Marotta said he is not planning to sign any Japanese player at the moment, but he listed 3 players who deserve consideration: Takumi Minamino, Yuma Suzuki, and Jun Nishikawa.

Marotta said he was interested in signing Minamino for Juventus during the player's first years at RB Salzburg.

Marotta had previously brought 2 Japanese players to Italian Serie A clubs: Hiroshi Namami to Venizia in 1999 and Atsushi Yanagisawa to Sampdoria in 2003.

Let's hope Yuma Suzuki will get some exposure in Italy based on what Marotta said, and he will find a club to bring him to Italian Serie A.

Nice to hear. Unfortunately for Marotta, both experiences were terrible. I remember the Yanagisawa's times in Genoa with Sampdoria. Flachi and Bazzani were a golden duo and there wasn't any space for him.

Suzuki did not future tonight in their 2-1 win. Matsubara and Schmidt started. Matsubara also had an assist.

Nice assist by Matsubara. I thought he might be on his way out of the club but he's making the most of his opportunity with Cacace away at the Olympics.

He stated his intentions to stay and fight for a place in a lengthy interview few months ago.

He also spoken about the differences he observed and experienced as a player between playing in Japan and Belgium.

I intended to post notes from that interview when I first read it, but did not find the chance to do. It has very interesting insights from a player's perspective.
