Well, I sure hope we're getting a new #10... Barrera may never be the same since his injury anyway, but there were times when he was our best player on the field, and he'll be missed.

Geeze what is that now, 3 or 4 of our players who are now at Fresno? Going to be weird playing them this season.

Though he was ostensibly an offensive player earlier in his career, he's a #8 now. He should be a solid piece for you guys.

    Cool, thanks for the insight.

While I'm the last person to root for the Galaxy, I hope Klimenta shows well for you guys

My ticketmates I were constantly frustrated with him. His first instinct was always to look back, not push the offense. My wife who is new to soccer even noticed it and became frustrated with him.

Let’s hope he plays like Klimenta for as much as he sounds like his clone.

    It's raining defenders...

6'1 and 181 lbs. Picked 16th in round 1 by Vancouver in the 2016 MLS Superdraft. Spent the last two seasons with Whitecaps II. It looks like he mostly played right CB.

Losing Christian wouldn't upset me. He's basically a good defender but would sometimes make a bad decision, leaving Klimenta in a bad spot.

If I were Kiffe, I'd really try to at least get on with a 2 squad so that he'd get a closer look over a longer period, or a chance to play with the sr. squad in some open cup games. Maybe he needs the prolonged look for a MLS side to really appreciate him.

Any news on Blackwood guys? He's from my town and I always keep a look out. Weird I haven't seen his name pop up anywhere. He's not trying his luck back in England as far as I can see and haven't seen him linked with any other USL team.

    Maybe he's returning to Sac?

From what I understand Buckle really liked him and the fans liked having him on the field, I'd love to have him back and see him continue to develop. I think we should find out in the next couple of weeks since we'll have a friendly in the middle of February we'll need to have the roster mostly sorted out.

Seen on Twitter it's being reported unofficially that Blackwood is on trial with a team in Ireland....bit of a weird option to explore if I am honest, it's not really seen as a good league in Europe and with USL improving I'd think USL would be a better option.

Second round pick in 2017 MLS Superdraft. Made nine appearances with Real and five with the Monarchs before injuring his foot late in the season.

"Raf has had three years in the Red Bull system, both with the first team and Red Bulls II, and is a great addition to our goalkeeping corp," said Republic FC General Manager Todd Dunivant. "His experience in an MLS locker room will be integral to setting the culture for our club."

Díaz joins Republic FC following three successful seasons with the New York Red Bulls organization. The goalkeeper originally joined Red Bulls II after playing the 2014 season with Orlando City SC. He spent two seasons with Red Bulls II before moving to the MLS club in 2017. Díaz made 23 USL appearances over four seasons, recording a 1.29 goals against average.

Damn this is the most new faces since the club started in 2014. This is a huge turnover year, I’m sure there will be more goodbyes and more additions with what has and hasn’t been announced yet.

Latest addition of a GK pretty much says Jakubek is gone right? We’ve never had 3 keepers on the roster.
