    Oh my God, it's back again. Brothers, sisters, everybody sing. Gonna bring the flavor, show you how. Gotta question for you better answer now, yeah. Are you ready?!

    The First Round of the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup kicks off tonight!

    Treat your eyeballs to an appetizer of high-quality, action-packed, 100% pure American soccering entertainment as the plucky Portland Timbers U23s take on the ferocious Kitsap SC Pumas.

    But the real feast comes tomorrow night: 25 teams will fight for the right to get booted from the tourney next round! It's a veritable smorgasbord of footy delights!

    Here's the complete schedule of the First Round matches:

    Streams, where available, will be broadcast on the US Soccer Match Center. (Ignore all other soccer substitutes. All hail The Cup!)

    The "Lose at Chicago" option was tempting but I have doubts we make it to that point in this current environment.

    Kingston Stockade FC sounds like a storied Jamaican club team.

    Speaking of old school sounding... Brooklyn Italians. No United, no FC, no SC, nothing. Just Brooklyn Italians.
    EDIT: Brooklyn Italians beat Cosmos B team to get this far? Okay, I have my little guy to root for now...

    They are not. They weren't around to qualify through the NPSL last season.

    They went down a man at the end of regulation for a second yellow.

    It was a rough way to go out for lifelong Kingston Stockade FC fans like myself. But we have to hold our heads high. We must get back to the grind of the North Atlantic Conference Division of the Northeast Region Conference of the National Premier Soccer League.

    If we perform well in that gauntlet, we can once again qualify for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup and begin anew our march towards continental glory.
