I like it. It’s clean, distinct, and makes a statement.

I’m not so much into the Waldo cosplay as other are, so all the handwringing that I’ve seen from some people on Twitter that the hoops are gone has zero traction with me.

I dislike the nickname hoops so much I hope they don't bring them back although 3rd Degree recently showed the red and blue ones a fan did a few years ago and those rock. I think hoops means basketball here like football means soccer in England. Why smash your head against a wall? I will reserve final judgment on these to when I see players with numbers in action in a game. I've thought I hated some before but changed my mind seeing in 3D in action.

It feels a bit basic, but I’m glad the Advocare logo is smaller and less obnoxious. I think I’d prefer contrasting shorts. Like Pegasus, I need to see it running down a field.

One thing that's been pretty clear to me for a few years now: The hoops were more popular with non-FCD fans than with FCD fans.

To be honest, mistakes were made in the rebranding in 2004-05. FC Dallas? Sure, fine, whatever. I don't think it was the greatest name in the world, but it's at least bland and generic. But the hooped shirts and "the Hoops" nickname? Those were straight-up mistakes. It's good that they got rid of the nickname (in an official capacity) several years ago, it's good that they replaced the red-and-white hoops two years ago with red-and-red hoops, and it's good that they got rid of the hoops altogether.

So they revealed the jersey today but you can't buy one, if you want one, until Feb. 14th? Does that make sense to anyone? Or, am I confused?

Just smile & nod. It'll make the whole FCD experience easier.

you can pre-order and also receive free customization for doing so, if you do it before 2/14.

oh, and I hate this utterly amateur design, shocked adidas agreed to do it and even more put out that Dustin likes it.

Oh I have learned, I've been around a while. I just don't post often....or ever but I have learned that the "grin and bear it" approach is effective being a fan of this club

If they had gone with red and blue stripes er hoops instead of the peppermint where's waldo look they may have had staying power. The nickname hoops is just bad because only soccer diehards no what it means and everyone else thinks you're talking about basketball.

So... we're New England with blue sleeves now.

And also you can't buy the shirt the day it's revealed, so even the few people who like it won't get one.

    Classic Burn/FCD move.

This shirt is awful. I wasn't a fan of the red and pink stripes, either, though. The fat fans who complained about having horizontal stripes will now instead have a bright red beer gut and white moobs. Congratulations. At least the horizontal stripes were unique.

Now we have two kits with large patches of white. What do we do when the other team wears white? I'm looking forward to watching the down-angle camera feed when another team shows up in white shirts and red shorts and we're wearing white/red shirts and red shorts. That'll make great television.

The more I look at it, the more I don't like it.

I don't understand how one ownership group can feel so out of touch with not only the supporters but also the league in general.

Actually I think you understand it as well as anyone as you've witnessed it for years.

I know but I use to be able to laugh it off as "oh, MLS."

Now we're getting left far behind.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If it’s any consolation, my wife will be the first to tell you that my sartorial instincts are not exactly fine-tuned.

For some reason this shirt makes me think of a sports bra.

That was funny. And spot on now that I’m looking at it again from that perspective.

Hate it. Even at this early date, everything sucks already,

Y'all some haters. I'm not a big fan of our color scheme to begin with, but within that I think the design is OK. It's like they took the USA bomb pop jersey (which was a miss) and iterated on that design and came up with something pretty good. It's pretty hard to come up with something that's distinct.

So's polka dots, but I'm not about to agitate for polka-dotted shirts either.

But if we had polka dots, I'd already have a great idea for the women's-cut jersey...

Now you've made me think of those stupid blue jeans in the early 80's with a plastic window above the crack in the back.
