Something I've harped on all year. When in doubt, drive the ball on frame. You never know! Now hold in Noles! Better yet, add a goal!
That goal by Carle was a thing of beauty. It reminded me of the goal Jamia Fields scored in the finals of the 14 CC against UVA in a 1-0 win!
The top of the PAC 12 and ACC are definitely the best. This year the ACC nudged ahead at the very top. Very close. IMO the ACC has 2 elite teams this year and the PAC has 3 with USC being every bit as good as the other two IMO!
With Berkely and Carle scoring their first goals tonight, that means every starter, minus GKers, have scored. We've had 16 different goal scorers this year. Talk about spreading the wealth!
http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/ar...college-cup-semifinals?addata=espn:ncaa:index Getting some love from ESPNW. go to ESPN and then to college sports. 3 articles/features on us. I almost feel like we are an SEC team! ;-)

My fav by far. It is brilliantly written and balanced. I get his allegiances, but love the way he measures it. My 2c on all of this is its a great feeling to win the title. However there is no need to try and spin it into who is the best this or that. As a neutral, i hope we see a great game
The FSU backline was the difference in this game. They were very active in attack and possession in the Stanford end of the field, and that made it difficult for Stanford to defend and win the ball back. Big key to the game.
I agree. I believe has as good a back line and midfield as there is in college soccer! Everyone of them can attack and handle the ball. I remember a time in FSU soccer, where that wasn't the case. In fact, we had the occasional wide MFer who wasn't comfortable attacking 1V1.
https://www.tallahassee.com/story/s...-mixes-coaching-style-personality/2145074002/ Good read on Mark “I think that he’s the best coach I’ve ever had,” said the heralded Castellanos, one of three finalists for FIFA Best Female Player of the Year and the FIFA Puskas Award in 2017. “He’s so smart and he’s so good at what he does. He respects all of us and we respect him a lot.”
https://www.ncaa.com/news/soccer-women/article/2018-12-01/5-things-we-learned-college-cup-semifinals Good article with several links to others including where each national team member played. UNC 6 UVA 3 Stanford 2 UCLA 2 Portland, Penn St, Cal. Tex A&M, Rutgers, Santa Clara, Ok. St., Wisconsin and FSU all with one each. Pugh and Horan N/A as to college. I meant to post this earlier this morning, but evidently didn't finish it.
Congratulations to the entire team, coaching staff and everyone associated with the program, well done, bravo and Go Noles!
Great win by a resilient team! Kudos to UNC. It is so hard to play beautifully against such a gritty and tough bunch!
