I'm not as nervous for this compared to Colombia. We'll have probably over 65-70% of the possesion. We just can't make mistakes at the back, which is probably the most realistic way Sweden can score since they'll be so deep.

My go-to, realistic sub would be Loftus-Cheek on for Dele, but God I hope Dier and Henderson aren't on the same pitch unless we're protecting a lead at the most. Southgate should know better by now if that's what he's going with.

Dier and Henderson is such an u creative pairing

I really want kane to play with rashford, sterling behind them and rlc and he do as the cms

I think if sterling has a free role deeper he can affect the game more

Or. He could be dropped for Jesse in that free role

Dier is not a great midfielder. I would only ever trust him in the backline. If Southgate picks him in midfield it will be costly.

Don't think we should take this Dier-info as granted. This is just speculation, but everyone here speaks about it like a fact.

Should win today really. Think the penalty result will spur us on. 1-0, 2-0 or 3-1 but we will score more than they will.

I think unlike other sides we'll be happy to bore Sweden to death anyway. Swedes live off mistakes but if the teams designed to not make any and we haven't made hardly any in the tournament already, then we can minimise issues and the fluid movement should cause them problems this time.

I'm feeling slightly confident for the match. If we can score an early one then the Swedes will need to attack and make a more open game.

Don't be confident Milos, you fool. The only way we can win is everyone says we will lose.

So Southgate went for the same starting XI as Colombia. I'm afraid of this.

As long as he drags people off if they're under-performing I'm OK with it.

I like the idea of showing commitment to players... up to a point.

Yeah, panic kind of over but some players especially in our attacking area need to step up and come to the party. Disappointed not to see Rose start over Young

Young looked tired and slow in the Columbia match. Hopefully, has recouped.

He had a pretty consistent season for Newcastle .I think his passing game is pretty underated . Shearer reckons he has better passing range than Wilshere . I tend to agree.I reckon he is Englands best passer of the ball since Scholes . I think he can also dictate the tempo of a game too . He is also take the ball under pressure and pass which is something England are missing in midfield at the moment .

I often think a lot of the players who aren't playing for top teams are underrated . I am a man united fan but i would rate Shelvey as better than any of our midfielders at the moment .

We'll be fine. There's always a first time. Sweden have been our bogey team but it's time to step up. I predict a 3-1 victory for us, after ET

Southgate decides to be Woy and stick with the same team.
The swedes will have drilled their tactics for a full week on how to cope with this team.

I wanted Rashford to come in for Sterling...
also Loftus cheek for Alli .

To give us a more balanced lineup .

Maybe the idea is to sub him in second half against a tired and slow Swedish defence

Not as nervous about this as I was about Colombia but nerves are starting to set in. I hope we can win and win convincingly but I'll take anything that let's us move on. Same starting eleven scares me a bit but hopefully Delle and Raheem have pulled their heads out.
