Fans to say a formal goodbye to the recently retired Lee Chun-soo at half-time of the qualifier with @FALebanon. https://t.co/K0Ftf8jjl1— Tomas Danicek (@TomDanicek) March 22, 2016
Most excited I've been for an early qualifier in a long time...maybe it's because it's the best chance to actually see our KPA's play nowadays..
Yes because the likes of LCY, KJS and PJH are sorely needed at their clubs. Can't have the bench going cold now.
If they get hurt in 180 minutes of meaningless football vs minnows, they'll never play for their clubs again. Maybe if KJS weren't ill a while ago, he'd had a chance to get back into discussion after their implosion and would be riding Hoffenheim's hot streak right now. Obviously PJH has little to lose but most of other guys need to be fresh for their club flights both for minutes and relegation. Koo looked a wreck in second half of last match, HJHs struggled for fitness all season. Relegation has 3x the threat unless you want to be watching BL2 on Friday afternoons. Of course then again it seems not many people are watching Koo's very good season and HJH development so why watch them beat up minnows? Theres literally NOTHING to be gained from these two matches, even from a watching perspective.
Kim JH will return to Cerezo Osaka after the Lebanon game. Perhaps the European based players will return to their clubs after the WCQ vs Lebanon as well.
With Hong being more fragile than a set of bone china, it would be more than reasonable for him to take a break from international duties.
I specifically meant the players I mentioned that haven't seen much, if any, game time recently. The Augsburg guys aren't included in there.
Again literally nothing to be gained from minnow battle vs risk of missing opportunities. It's not been that long since two of three played anyway (a month or so?) and I don't get the impression much of anyone here was watching PJH ever.
Ki Sung-Yueng captains @theKFA in their @FIFAWorldCup qualifier against Lebanon today. Good luck, Ki! #swans https://t.co/tz3qgC1ctp— Swansea City AFC (@SwansOfficial) March 24, 2016
