when you're not confident on the ball, you punt it to cover your ass

Yea, sorry, that's what I meant. I agree with your other points. Our guys are playing with heart, which we haven't seen in a while.

Why do the players always kick the ball into the air instead of simple passing?? Esp the CSL guys and the fullbacks.

We will not score. Iran is very tough in defense. We can't even make the final third

Hard fought half. Lots of physical plays. I guess if I was a Korean fan I would be very pissed off because this coach is doing much better than the last one. Took too long to change the coach.

Iran has some flashes of brilliance with combination plays. I see Gucci being taken off second half as he has been invisible. Does anyone have the stats?

there's some poor first touches and some ill-advised clearances. these players are just mentally not where they need to be. good first touches aren't difficult but it comes down to confidence, composure, and acumen. as they have poor touches, they're more likely to just punt it away to not make a goal-costing mistake. which costs us opportunities to build up an attack

Kim Young Kwon was never that good to begin with. His foreign coach at his Chinese club hyped him up and Korean media and fans went with it like idiots.

KYK simply does not possess the mental capacity and toughness to be a full-time international

For some reasons, this is the first time I do not want us win. I will talk about reasons later. Good luck.

KSG still can't kick. KYK is beyond awful. And JHS is clueless with the ball at his feet. Sigh. At least they're putting in some proper effort.

The problem is that the others are not really better... you can put in HJH or KKH and it wouldn't be any different... They're pretty much same shit.

ideally, he's a bench player who offers positional flexibility. i'm wondering if KSY starts, does JHS take KMJ's starting CB spot or is he on the bench in STY's mind
