I feel like I've only discovered Catalina Usme this week, but looking back, she really shouldn't be any surprise at all. She's a regular on Colombia's domestic club scene, having played for Formas Intimas from 2009 to 2016, during which time the club qualified for all of the first seven Copa Libertadores in a row, and was the tournament's top scorer in 2015 despite not advancing from the group stage. She led her 2017 club team to the new pro league's inaugural playoffs, then transferred to champions Santa Fe soon enough to play in the 2017 Copa Libertadores - and she tied for golden boot then, too. She also has a respectable goalscoring rate on the NT, even before this tournament, at nearly one per every two games (including one of the two goals Colombia scored when upsetting France at the 2015WWC).
Indeed, the Colombia squad has been pleasantly impressive in this tournament. Looking forward to today's matches. Hopefully, Venezuela won't disappoint against Bolivia. Argentina will rest after today, to face Venezuela on the final match date.
