I mean they set themselves up well... but blowing this lead would just be a further embarrassment. Probably would have been better to just finish this game tied to take the pressure off.

 

I want to say that this series is over, but I think we all know better than that.

There's no pressure except the pressure they put on themselves. They're going back to New Jersey where they'll play in front of, at best, 8,000 people. That should help, in a weird way.

 

The past impression of Wright Phillips is that he is very wasteful of chances, that he should have had 40 the year he tied Wondo and Lights Out Lassiter. Tonight it seemed like he was in a lounge chair 35 yards out in a smoking jacket with a stogie in his mouth reading the Times waiting for chances to fall his way. I suspect that neither impression is entirely correct.

 

They had 11k for the first round. Why would this be fewer?

Look, it’s awesome to get the win and the 2 away goals, but we all know TJ dominated that game. If RBNY sits back and feels good about that game, they’re going to get run off the field at home.

They missed some obvious fouls and cards.

Tim Parker had that reckless challenge just outside of the box in the first ten minutes which should have at least been a yellow but wasn't even called. Players were getting hacked down after passing the ball. If the Etienne incident occurred in the first half, the second half would have been out of control.

 

Ah ok. In that case this doesn't matter. ******** the Red Bulls and their non caring fans.

 

It's not really in New York's nature to sit back. They'll be aggressive.
