He was broken before we didn't qualify...part of the reason we sucked.
IMO he has been overrated for a very long time and has only had a couple good seasons in his entire career.

I don't disagree. Bradley is playing like a below average player this season and certainly nowhere near an Impact level DP I wrote that at the conclusion of CCL based on what I saw at that time. In CCL, I felt Bradley played well and that the team relied on him get the ball from their back 3rd when the had the ball and put out fires with they didn't. Time and again they would play him the ball in touch spots as he was the only one they trusted under pressure. As for Giovinco, his numbers have continued their decline, but he's still very good,. But honestly, the biggest issue is not Bradley, but instead all the injuries,

However the main point I was making was that the belief held by many that Toronto's success was due to the fact they were some special unicorn not representative of the better teams in MLS was completely ill-founded. While Toronto had a great team and great season last year, the league had improved so much in the past two years that last years success was no guarantee they would be special this year - even though Toronto played toe to toe with the best of LigaMx. That said, even someone in possession of a crystal ball would have been hard pressed to believe any ball that would have Toronto this low in the standings..

What happens if Ottawa were to win the Canadian Cup? Do they go to CCL? Because the way the three Canadian teams are playing in the league, it could be a possibility.

So with KC knocked out of the Open Cup, we're looking at only one team qualifying for the CCL next year via point total over the two seasons unless KC wins MLS Cup? KC with the 2017 Open Cup spot, Hou/Chi/LAFC/Philly for the 2018 Open spot, point total over two years takes Toronto's spot for MLS Cup last year, and winner of MLS Cup this year. I guessss technically there could be a double of 2018 Open and MLS cup winners, but who realistically has a shot of that besides LAFC right....

A Canadian team could still win the 2018 MLS Cup.

But, yeah, one team qualifying via the combined table is looking pretty likely.

Surprised they didn't go by PPG since this year's expansion team won't have the benefit of both seasons to accrue points.

And thumbs down to LMX for still not adjusting to the new schedule. Next CCL may not have the reigning league champ

LAFC is the most talented team left so I see them winning the Open Cup and NYCFC will probably be the point total winner.

It's possible that LAFC will have more points per game this year than any club in 2017 and 2018 combined, but it's unlikely. NYCFC leads with 1.80 points per game, and if their points per game of 2.00 this year is what the end the year at, their two year average will be 1.84. Atlanta United is at 1.77 points per game that would go up to 1.81 at their pace this year. LAFC is at 1.75.

The CONCACAF League is qualifying for the 2019 CCL, so if it's going to be discussed it should be in a new topic.
